My dad, my brother, and I are all having this problem now. Three different PS3s, three different homes. Everything else works at my house (computer, PSP wireless, etc.). This is the fifth day in a row it's happened. Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks, but it's not working for me. It's recognizing my router (100% signal strength), but no dice. I assumed that since all three of us were having this problem, it wasn't just me, but I see very few talking about it on the net.
EDIT: I just found a post on the PS message boards. Looks like it's affecting people with Time Warner Cable only, which is what we all have. Last edited by JTStarkiller; 05-08-2009 at 01:32 AM. |

It could be the ISP might not have the new DNS (Domain Name Server) records. Sony is adding and changing servers around for PSN. Sometimes the ISP will have the old DNS lookup records which points to the wrong location. The ISPs wouldn't even be aware until a few compliant were made. This can also happen when your ISP changes DNS addresses, but that would be felt across almost ALL your networked device. That doesn't seems to be the case with most of you.
Call Sony. They will probably need to make some phone calls to their ISPs and have them push the request to check the lookup records for Sony's PSN and make corrections if needed. However, make sure it's not the router or something, first. |

I am having these same issues and I am also using TWC. Thankfully my neighbors have a wireless router and it is not password protected so it will have to do untill this problem is sorted out.
It has only been bad for me for a little over a week now. |
