What do the little yellow symbols mean on some of the emblems (The one that looks like a little banner)? Some of my emblems have them but I'm not sure what it means. I thought it meant you'd earned that emblem more than once but that was just a guess.

Oh, and congrats on getting Big Boss rank to everyone who did - that's amazing!

You're probably right. I can't remember now exactly which emblems I got after my second playthrough.

Beat the game for the first time last night. Got lobster, crocodile, hyena, and panther.

It seems like everyone got multiple emblems on their first playthrough, except me. I only got Panther.

Time for a second go round.

I'm pretty sure I only got one too. It was Eagle.

I got these on my first play through:

19. Rabbit
22. Scarab
23. Frog
24. Inch Worm
26. Hyena
28. Pig
36. Jaguar

I took a lot of liberties with getting caught, experimenting with the game and whatnot. I am ready to play through with zero kills, continues, and alerts

When you complete the game you are awarded a 'primary' (for lack of a better term that is official) emblem. Somehow, the first time I got 'Frog' for no apparent reason at all since I never 'side rolled' once that I could remember... only forwards. I also had other emblems as well (about six total) on that run through, but on the score screen, I was 'Frog'.

Well... 'Frog' gets a yellow ribbon then. Each run your 'primary' emblem that corresponded most to your playstyle that run through is given a yellow ribbon and forever marked on your emblem page so you know the emblems you got as 'primary' on run throughs.

I guess if you were REALLY ambitious you could try and not only get all the emblems, but try and get all of them as your 'primary' as well and fill the screen with yellow ribbons!

I love this game more than any other, but I don't think even I could do that. lol

Cool. I got a bunch of ribbons, and my primary one was Eagle, so I guess my playstyle is to shoot enemies in the head. Sweet.

I think it makes your life go back up quicker if I remember reading correctly.

Supposedly it 'increases stun damage, life recovery (including from items), reduces hand shaking and apparently if you CQC a PMC soldier they fall asleep (instead of the knock out stars you see 'Z's' apparently).

It's kinda hard to test these songs, in game, as they tend to be real short. LOL

ok so i think i got on my first try lobster ,puma,hyena,eagle,crocodile,jaguar,panther,and pig,cow (on solid normal) but onley because i was stuck on the part right after i meet meryl and team the part after they leave i couldnt figure out where to go yes i looked at my map but i didnt see the ladder and the rebels and pmc troops where afta me ,,,,,one more thing how do i get a solar gun it blots out the other guys response thanks

You have to non lethal kill all of the bosses, then collect the dolls they leave before you kill them in the human form.

Don't forget the Frog one, it's at the left of the basement when you regain control of Snake. You have to use non lethal on the Frogs after meeting Meryl, be careful not to tranq any of them hanging on the side, or they will fall to there death.

I just completed MGS4 in Big Boss hard mode with over 41 continue's, but I didnt get the corps camo. Anybody know why?

Yeah, I got those too. Eagle for headshots, Hyena for all the weapons I picked up (I was a total scavenger)

You need >=51 continues to get it. Some info sites are misprinting it at 41+, which would be incorrect.
