Fight Club? No country for old men? Juno? Thanks for reminding me why I don't come to this site for opinions on movies. At least not from the posters.

Also, Fight Club wasn't all in his head. Tyler Durden was his split personality. All the stuff did actually happen. It does the film injustice to wean it down to "it's all in his head." If you didn't like it, fine. But that's oversimplifying the story.
Right, split personality = mental condition = in his head = weak movie. I'm not trying to pick any fights, I just though that movie, along with the ending was terrible. My opinion.

I thought Fight Club had a great ending, isn't that why most of us love the movie? weird.

I'd say The Village had the one of the gayest endings

I totally agree! I just watched it recently and said WTF! once the vampires started appearing.

I didn't like the endings to Sunshine or I am Legend, either.

I agree about Fight Club and Juno. I thought both of those were great throughout, but you have to admit that No Country for Old Men's ending was its weakness. Granted, it was to prove a point about stopping while you're ahead, a parallel to Tommy Lee's character retiring and not chasing the killer any more, it is a valid opinion, in my opinion.

In all fairness, you did decide to look at a thread titled 'Worst Movie Endings', which would make it a very good possibility that posts will openly talk about movie endings w/o spoiler tags. Though I see your point if you state that they didn't say it in the title about there being spoilers in the thread, but then again what would be the point as the main discussion being movie endings?

See, I don't think the ending was weak. I thought it summed the movie up and made the title make sense. What Jone's character was saying was the title of the film without saying "No country for old men." Plus, after Brolin's character dies, the movie, imo, needs to end. I thought that it was an intelligent ending for an intelligent movie.

I liked the whole movie till the end. I don't know it might have something to do with all the heros that die at the end of movies now. The matrix, Childeren of Men, V for vendetta. I don't know I guess I hate when badasses die.

I love how people keep complaining about The Village. It's as if people completely ignore what the movie was truely about because they only wanted a horror movie and was dissapointed that they got a drama. Or they just plain didn't understand that it wasn't meant to be scary.

Hello,
I just watched again last night. It was a great movie until Cruise goes to China to get the "rabbits foot". After that, the "dead, but brought back to life" thing was laughable. The final scene where he trots out of IMF HQ with his giggling wife is hysterical.

Question: In the theatrical version, when Cruise asks his boss "What is the rabbits foot",I could have sworn he got some kind of sarcastic answer. When I watched it on DVD,his superior says: "If you stay,I'll tell you". Does anyone else remember this?
