And do you know WHY people do not like DNR? It is not because grain is missing, it is because DETAIL is usually missing. If you took a look at the shots posted on AVS, you will see that 98% of the detail is still there but the grain is mostly gone. In fact, it looks a lot sharper and has a lot of details the 1080i mpeg2 broadcast couldnt make out due to compression and blocking. So really, this is not the disaster scenario we see with EVERY Warner Bros release, this is a WELL DONE dnr job that after seeing the pics, i have no problem with. If this is what the studios are going to do from now on, i am fine with it. If they will go the direction of Warner Bros, i will just stop purchasing blu-ray movies.

Never bought the SD DVD because I wasn't thrilled with the quality. I like the movie and as long as it is acceptable quality, I'm going to go for the BD. Time will tell AFTER I rent it.

even though the dialog was some of the worst ever it was still a pretty fun movie, and I thought I was going to dislike it due to all the negative reviews.

I don't think there is a delay. I'm planning on picking it up locally tomorrow, but I know of one online retailer who says they have the US version in stock and it is available to ship immediately.

I'm getting it from Netflix. Being shipped today. My local BV store I checked will have a few copies for rental tomorrow, none to sell.

I want to buy it eventually but will rent for now until I see a better price. IM for the buck is a better value IMHO and I will not pay that price for Sixth Sense.

BB Total Access is sending me Dawn of the Dead for blu-ray. I really wanted them to send me Rest Stop 2. Oh well, I can always rent it later.

Got my copy Saturday. DVDPlanet shipped it early, but they have yet to ship L.A. Confidential. WTF, I'd rather have that one first.

Anyway, here's a list of bonus features, as listed on the back cover:

Deleted Scenes
Reflections From The Set
Between Two Worlds
Moving Pictures: The Storyboard Process
Music and Sound Design
Reaching The Audience
Rules And Clues
Publicity

Also, there is a rebate form inside for $10 bucks.

And last but not least, it does appear to be DNRed.

Randomly decided to revisit this on Netflix expecting it to be the same transfer as the US Blu. I was surprised to find it was a beautiful transfer with not a trace of ugly DNR and adjusted color timing. It looks very filmic and is just lovely.

Looking at Caps-a-Holic, I saw their comparison to the German BD and it looks close to the German BD, but not sure if it's the same transfer as on Netflix it's at the correct 1.85 ratio.

Anyone else care to check it out for comparison? I do hope Disney will release a new BD with this far superior transfer to what's out now.

Unfortunately the Caps-A-Holic caps show that the burned-in titles for locations, etc, have been replaced with what look to be player-generated German titles. That makes it no sale for me.

Someone once said, I think, that the UK disc has the same improved transfer, is that true? Does it also have the original burned-in titles, like the US disc?
