From the great void, drifting lazely amongst the heavenly bodies in the cold jet black emptiness, a large object bearly illuminated by faint starlight, bearing the scars of a jurney that began from the furthest reaches of time, slipped silently by. One point of light among the others whoes number was greater then the shifting sands of the shore, and quite a bit fainter then the rest, giving off a strange blueish cast that set it apart, lay directly in it's path. It was, nonetheless, quite remote, and many uneventful eons would pass for the wanderer...

Time contined its onward march unabated as always, retentlessly, remorselessly, pausing not to the great dance of multi colored celestial events that threw illuminating matter into the cosmos or drawing it away into the abyss of singularity. Nor did it yield to the clockwork rhythm of the earthly seasons, the rise and fall civization; the building of the pyramids, the fall of Rome, the declaration of independence...

As it entered the atmosphere, it descriped a great, graceful, arc against the deep blue and its swearling white clouds. First red, then yellow, and finally an almost white light marked off its trajectory. Pulled by the unseen force of gravity, it reached blinding speed. From my vantage point on the ground, a small speck of light pasing overhead grew brighter and brighter untill, at just above the horizion, it emmitted energy with the brilliance and brevity of the photographer's flash. Time stood still.

By the slimest of margens, the body skipped off the earth's atmosphere, and returned to space to travel the heavens once more.

From the great mystery we came, to the great mystery we return. A fliker in the great nexus of glowing, pulsing, and eluminating filiments of the continuium that forms the empiness of space - animated by the cosmic dance, a harmonious interplay between the drum of creation and the fires of distruction. Somewhere, in the exchange, there were the sounds of music, laughter, and a word or two that altered the very fabric of space/time itself.

Money
Money; a means to the void of material gain,
life be the tragedy as in Citizen Kane.
If on another plain,
to fill yourself and others same;
hitch a ride to the stars
.

I wanted a new computer a few years ago and got it. Still a great machine.
I wanted an HD video camera and got it a few years ago.
I wanted DVD's and have plenty I want to now get rid of.
I wanted blu-ray and got it last year. I wanted blu-ray movies and get them as they are released.
I wanted an HDTV for my room, so now I have TWO. One is the TV the other is primarily my pc monitor. So yeah, the desire of having two monitors is filled, but when do I actually use it?

I have had a Garmin GPS for 8 years but now I want a NEW one.

There is simply no pleasing the flesh.

Yeah Tron, you totally need a sexual relationship or some good old fashioned sport #$*&! to "please the flesh" as you said.

Ty Webb: You take drugs, Danny?
Danny Noonan: Every day.
Ty Webb: Good. Then what's your problem?
Danny Noonan: I don't know.

Not pushing anything...he asked a question and I gave my answer. Don't have to believe it....all it comes down to is the fact that when you die, you better be right.

I don't want to sound preachy but there are people in this world that are homeless, starving and sick.... here you are complaining about not being happy after having pretty much everything. You should be ashamed of yourself. You should be on your knees thanking God!!!!!

I'm sorry to say but people like you really grind my gears.

Doesn't the fact that he's not arrogant and self-absorbed count for something?

I think it all comes down to not judging Tron and keeping a religion and politics out of forum.
The guy just needs to hook up,He more then likely has the munches and needs some carpet ....buy an Ipod and all will be well

I do all that. This post wasn't really for me. It was to make people think.

Grinds your gears? I didn't know Michale Moore posted here.

I use to be very depressed with money and having a bunch of toys that made me happy for an hour and then the effect wore off...

quit smoking, starting playing tennis, going to beach alot, walking.... happier now... and i play with my toys much less... haven't even bought many blurays lately and i really don't miss that now, just rent and watch what i already bought before... it's good to disconnect from material things from time to time.

I found there is something way better looking and sounding than a blu-ray, a real life trip outside Can't beat it!

Default Pursuit of Happiness

This is one of the oldest questions in history: how do you become happy? Man, if I knew it, I would be irrevocably happy!

One thing I know: electronics are not the key to happiness. It's what you do with them. It's like saying a pencil can make you happy. If you can draw and you like it, then it will!

Perhaps the secret is, that you cannot be happy all of the time and just cherish the moments that you are happy. I for one believe that a good balance between having good and honest friends, good health/exercise, a good relationship and a fulfilling job are key to happiness.

Perhaps you should think of the old adage: find work, find a loving woman, build a house. I for one am thinking of moving overseas. Perhaps somewhere where the economic opportunities are more prosperous.

But one thing is for sure. Happiness does not come from expecting things to turn out like in a movie - a lot of movie fans live in a make believe world!

Because you expect to much from life. You are self-absorbed. You need to get a grip and realize how lucky you are.
