Bought my 60GB from CC in Dec of 2006, Movies were 30.00 a piece. Those same movies were 9.99 at Frys a year later, but thats the price you pay for early adoption.
I made that mistake with the dvd burner and it ended up costing me more so I am waiting on the blu-ray burner

I got a bluray recorder (LG GBW H10N) at mid summer 2007. Paramount's decision scared me a bit, but I am glad that I ended up on the winning side.
Finally, I got my PS3 at the end of March 2008.

(Oh yes, and in September, I discoved this AMAZING SITE) and eventually I became a member.)

Got my first blu-ray player (Samsung BD-P1200) in early December 2007 - then sweated out the fomat war for a couple of months. Got my second player this year so that I could bitstream the new audio formats.

I think we are now in the "late phase of early adopters" - seems like blu ray rentals at my local Blockbuster are starting to pick up now.

start of 2007, I got my Vizio and the Panny bd10AK within 2 weeks of each other, I love tax returns.

although, my dad bought one of the first sony s1's and so I knew of them way back when they costed $12-1500. He must have been one of the first people that bought one, cause sony actually mails him the firmware updates.... go figure.

Got my PS3 on Nov 23 2006 and began buying them about a month later. In early spring, at the release of The Departed I quit buying new DVD releases.

Got my 60gb PS3 just right after Thanksgiving in '06 and had to tuck it away so my kids could 'give' it to me for X-mas that year. I went to Best Buy every morning one week looking to see if any arrived and on friday they showed up.

No overnight waiting for me. It was about a half hour wait each day for 5 days. I got there around 930 each morning so as others showed up they knew I was 'first in line' though it didn't matter as 90% of others were looking for Wii's anyways. Have your Wii. Picked one up Jan. '07 and have played maybe a half dozen times. Really is nothing but a paperweight in our house. Not knocking it though. If you like your Wii, rock on! Just hasn't done much in our household.

About a dozen Blu-ray discs were sitting around collecting dust for about 2 months prior to the PS3 launch. I had that much faith in the format. It was a fun two weeks as everytime I'd pass through the living room the tower of Blu cases would get me all excited and energized for what was to come. Hell, I still feel a bit of a surge a year and a half later when I look at my 200+ Blu-ray collection.

Got my PS3 in December 2006. My first BD was Kingdom of Heaven which I purchased the same day.

I also picked up the Panny BD-30 during the week that it came out, but can't remember exactly when that was. I quit counting my titles when I hit 200, but would guess that I'm close to 300 titles now
