True but producing Hostel and stuff too.

I guess I was getting used to all of his movies being a huge success. I can't wait.

How does everyone think Mike Myers will do?

I think of Meyers as a good actor, though really that's just because I liked him in 54. I believe he can do well, better than recent efforts would make people think. At least he has nothing to do with writing it and it's not a comedy.

I believe this poster was identified as fanart. Pretty nice though.

Well i liked Death proof alot..i really don't know why soo many people have bad things to say about it..it was soo fun....the two groups of woman u got the sexy kind of weaker woman and then u got the kickass, don't take no shit woman...I though it had a nice thriller/horror feel with the car and the stocking....I loved alot of the writing in the film.....loved the car scenes....i just don't know why people can't just sit back and watch and love this film......

You're campaigning pretty hard, but in all honesty, i think people would've liked it better if it was first and Planet Terror was last on Grindhouse. Kurt Russell screaming like a little girl is worth the ticket price.

Both films were a joy to watch. They really pulled off the 'drive-in movie' feel with all the rough edit cuts, dirty film... man I remember that look and feel SO well. I did like Death Proof better than Planet Terror but back in the day... that's pretty much the type of films you'd see at drive-ins and old crappy movie houses. They were a great experiment to re-capture that era. Kudos to both T & R!

Damn I wish he kept to his original plan of putting Stallone and Schwartzeneggar in the same film.

for some reason the link is not taking me right to the page.
You'll have to click on "search for Inglorious bastards" then click on the first article that comes up.
I don't think anyone has mentioned this is a remake.

Is it just using the same name? Or is it a direct remake?

I'm not sure, but it looks to be a behind enemy lines type WWII movie. Tarantino has obviously wrote a new script and added the femme fatale/heroine story line, but i think the general plots are similar.
This will only add fuel to the "Tarantino has no original ideas" fire.
Maybe those people are right, but it seems his movies come out better than the ones he's ripping off.

Death Proof was a little over average, I hope this is better.

So Samuel L Jackson just joined the cast. This movie is looking better and better...

Just yesterday it was announced that Samuel L Jackson had been cast as Sho’nuff in a remake of The Last Dragon. Now, The Playlist has learned that Jackson will reteam with Quentin Tarantino in his WWII film Inglourious Basterds. Jackson, who was featured in Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Volume 2, Jackie Brown and Pulp Fiction, will provide his voice for the narration which is sporadicly used throughout the film.

Also, Chinese actress Maggie Cheung has been cast as Madame Mimieux, “the French matron of the Cinematheque that takes in the protagonist Shosanna (Melanie Laurent) when she is homeless and being sought by the Nazis.” Cheung has appeared in over 70 films, and was the first Asian actress to win a prize at the Cannes Film Festival (for Clean in 2004), among her numerous other awards (including five Hong Kong Film Awards).
