WOW....Sony is really starting to drop the ball (in my eyes at least) they need to get of their sorry asses and start getting down and dirty like M$ has and is doing.

Maybe they should throw some money at Capcom. Buy exclusive rights to RE 5, even if for only a year.

Whats ironic, is that this is in response to FFXIII coming to Xbox, yet Sony themselves "stole" Square from Nintendo at one point.

I get what youre saying but just because microsoft has an online community means that its somehow off limits to everyone else? Get real. I know Sony will never say it, but yeah, MS had a good idea. Hopefully sonys will end up being better.

I know. I have a PS3, and long before it a PS1 (on which I bought FF7 on release), but I don't get this overblown reaction.

no no no, Square had no choice but to bring to bring FF7 to ps1.

the N64's cartridge space was to small for the game they wanted to make.

I dont think he was trying to say it was off limits, he was just responding to the guys post that MS "steals" Sonys ideas, yet EVERYONE "steals" the other guys ideas. Its just a fact of business, if it works well, others will take it too.

I agree with the fact that it would have been awful on n64, im just going with the general feeling of "betrayal" that people are moaning about. Its not like Square said, "its not coming on ps3 now". It still is. It will just be available on another system as well. Also, there is zero info so far that the ps3 version will be in any way compromised because of this.

Sony did not steal Square from Nintendo, Square just moved on to superior console. Tech wise.

However, it's MS who stole Square. Because this is the first time Square is making their biggest game on multiplatform. Not counting PC-wise.

Ok Im tired of hearing Sony copied M$ with the acheivements. If anything M$ copied Sony. The PS2 had a BUNCH of "trophy" type things. M$ was smart to put it online but the "reward" system sure as hell wasnt a light bulb of M$.

Sony needs to start buying game studios right now. After todays horrible announcements from Microsoft thats the only thing they have left to take Microsoft on for this generation of consoles. If they have to spend billions of dollars to do it then they better start the damn negotiations now. I have to say that if they were able to convince Bungie to release a Halo on PS3 that would be a major blow to Microsoft. I have been loyal Sony owner since the original Playstation and today was not enjoyable plus add to the fact that Anheuser Busch Cos. is now under foreign ownership; what the hell are these companies thinking?
