I think that its more of a generational thing. Alot of old school gamers, like myself, like 6, while alot of younger games, meaning , late teens to early 20's seem to like 7 and up better.

<---- Hmmmmm
It even says that FFVII is "quite possibly the greatest game ever made" on the back of the case. So it must be true... How many games take over 100 hours to beat that you can play over and over again? This game is like no other and will always be my favorite. Last edited by ninjabmx64; 07-16-2008 at 05:57 AM. |

Almost all of my friends that like RPGs consider either FFVII or Chrono Trigger to be the best one. Not surprisingly, in every case, whichever one they played first was the one they said was their favorite. I recently played Chrono Trigger, on PSP, for the first time, and I feel like I would have liked it much more if I had played it back when I was a kid, when it came out, instead of now. I also recently replayed FFVII (also on PSP), after finishing Crisis Core. Ten years later, I felt like it lost some of its charm, because it wasn't exactly as I remembered it. Kind of like when I watched Gremlins the other day, for the first time in almost 20 years. |

4 was the first real FF game I ever played (played Mystic Quest first...it's a wonder I ever got into RPGs in the first place
![]() Though...I suppose that's true of nearly everyone here. I still say 7 is the best, with 12 coming in second. 6 is third, with respect for being the first game that ever got any sort of emotional response out of me. Locke's partner, Terra quitting the team to help the children, Celes attempting suicide...it had some seriously moving moments. Amazing, given the lack of a 3rd dimension. |
