The only thing extra in the ultimate 154 min cut that is excessable through a code is a scene with Sarah at a playground watching children play when she is an old lady, if I remember correctly I only watched it once.

I remember reading somewhere that the 154 minute version simply put the deleted scenes in to the film via seemles branching option.

Scenes like Kyle Reese dream that is a deleted scene on the old DVD's as an extra.

I'm sure the release date for this is 4th August, I ordered mine online, so think they just posted it early.

Looks like the only extra on the disc is a Video / Audio calibration tool.

release date is the 4th, but in ireland for some nice reason, we always get films due for release on the monday the friday before... makes sense to me.. i'm always more likely to buy films closer to the weekend that on monday

anyway have the disc back with me - Audio states 5.1 DTS Master Audio, 153 minutes running time approx

i dont have it in any other hd format, but i will base my judgement on other films in my collection... i almost bought the US version a while back but held off for the lossless audio... it was only 24.99 euro.. which is quite cheap considering HMV's usual pricing.. they also had total recal for the same price but only had budget for one today..

T2 is one of my favourite films.. so really looking forward to hearing Brad Frediels score in HD

Cheers,
Mick

Batman2, have you had an opportunity to confirm that this is indeed the director's cut?

Yes indeed, when you play the movie, on the main menu it actually says "Directors Cut"

Wasn't the soundtrack on the German version 7.1 DTS HR & not DTS HD MA?

I recall it had a lossy soundtrack not a lossless one.

Can anyone that has the new U.K. Blu-ray confirm if the picture quality is as good as the U.K. Studio Canal HD DVD?

It was alot better than the Lions Gate Blu-ray picture quality.

I'd like someone like lgans to do a file size comparison between this and the UK HD DVD. I'm quite happy with the HD DVD, I'd need to see a considerable re-encoding to take advantage of the extra space on a BD50 before purchasing.

I believe another code extension scene is the T1000 in John's bedroom touching everything.
