So since I use Visa gift cards which never worked on DDDHouse I had been using Renchi but between the PayPal thing added to DDDHouse and Renchi not taking orders at the moment I used DDDHouse again for a change.
I placed the order on the 7th, got the invoice a few hours later, paid it right away and got the confirmation from PayPal (Plus since I use Visa gift cards it was a quick check to see if it got billed and it did). But now here we are 8 days later and my order status is still saying pay via PayPal and hasn't shipped. Is that normal or to they think it hasn't been paid still? ![]() ![]() EDIT: And sure enough like Renchi they seemed to have just been waiting for a Friday. I was debating whether to order from buyoyo.com or dddhouse.com. buyoyo.com is about $5 cheaper but I heard some people having problems with their order from them. Like missing items, scratched disc, etc. Then I went to dddhouse.com and only heard they ship orders out on Friday -.-
I went ahead and placed an order from dddhouse.com, it was shipped last friday, it arrived today ![]() totally satisfied. |

Who here has experience with dvdasian.com?
I just ordered A Dirty Carnival and MoM (yeah, good luck right) but it doesn't actually say whether they're currently in stock or not. Do I have to contact dvdasian to find out? It seems a little odd that they wouldn't have this information immediately available for ANY product ![]() |

I just received my order from kimchidvd.com. Shipped out extremely fast, everything came perfect, shipped in a box and bubblewrapped. The site is a little difficult to navigate and the tracking number never worked, but I give them the seal of approval.

I didn't know where to ask this so excuse the bump on this old thread, I have to ship a damaged BR set back to Amazon JP from the US, once received they'll reimburse me approximately $4? Does that sound right?

just used kimchidvd for the first time in a while. had become my preferred source for K releases, as prices are usually slightly lower than K2dvd and yesasia.
however, previously, it had been possible to see that ordering more than one disc at a time saved slightly on postage - this seems to have gone, and checkout seems to charge same amount for each disc; for me $5.80. okay, so i've saved in one respect (better prices on the discs) but postage should reduce and it kind of makes things feel / look cheeky to me. if the actual cost shown on the postage label is dramatically different, i'll be taking the issue up with them directly. |

I can't seem to find how to contact yesasia directly :S
I ordered Thirst (Korean release) & Ip Man (HK release) together and a week later recieved an email saying that they couldn't get Ip Man so they cancelled it from my order and that if I didn't pay via credit card (which I didn't. I payed via paypal so they total for both items was taken out straight after ordering rather than just before it shipped like it would've if I payed with my credit card) that the refund for the part that never shipped would come through after it ships and it shipped out days ago and there's been no refund. I'm not sure how long this is supposed to take or if I'm supposed to contact them to remind them or something, but I feel like I need to now since this is the longest it's ever been before a site has processed a refund I'm owed. I sent an email regarding the whole thing to service-global@yesasia.com which is the only email I could find to send it to and it looked right to me, but I recieved an automatic email informing me that it failed to go through. Could someone help me with contacting them? |

Don't know have this been asnwered yet. But anyway what should frist timers know about when ording from Yesasia or dddhouse that oversea. So that they don't have any problems. Like,
1) Do Yesassia or dddhouse take debit card/ATM for people who don't have a a credit card, or only credit cards, checkes aqnd through pay pal. 2) Do they charge on shipping and handling and are there any sales tax? 3) How long before the order is really shipped out? 4)How long does one have to wait, before they recieve their shipment, ond standard shipping. 5) What IF the package or item is damage by the post office or another shipping company? |

![]() ![]() Between getting stuff faster and paying less I prefer DDDHouse by a wide margin and have never had a problem to worry about the customer service advantage I can see YesAsia having. But if looking for a Korean Blu-Ray or something then YesAsia come into play. Last edited by Hayabusa85; 03-18-2013 at 06:44 PM. |

Thanks for the answers to the questions Hayabusa85. Hopfully others will answer on what they know and what their experience are buying from them. So that first timers know what to do and expect, when ording from the two overseas online stores. So that there are no big problems.

RE: Problem orders
My experiences with problem orders and Yesasia haven't been that good. The last time I had a bunch of scuffed discs I had to take pictures to show the damage (which I can understand), but they didn't just send a replacement product, they sent replacement DISCS, some of which were even more damaged than the ones I was replacing, and others which were clearly put through some kind of cleaning process... i.e., not NEW. DDDHouse can take a week or so to ship, and I frequently order things from them only to find the items are unavailable and out of print (in other words, their webpage isn't quite up to date), but they are very honest and reliable. I've used both companies, and buyoyo, for many years. |
