even though i wouldn't call it my kind of game, i still think it's worth it. the wife really likes it for the simplicity of it. even if it turns out you don't like it, it's still great for friends or family or when company comes over, or just to show your 360/A2 fanboy friends what 1080p looks like

there is more to the game than you may initially think. everytime you "pass" a series of depths you unlock another creature. so far my wife has unlocked about 6 creatures like squid, jellyfish, dolphin(?), a ray(?), etc.

I'd love it if they released an expansion with twice as many new sea creatures and some accomplishments for replayability. They could also work on the game engine a little to remove the slowdown when the screen's filled on several layers. AA would make a big difference to the visuals too.

TGS 07: flOw Expansion Pack Pre-Show Hands-On

2P multiplayer, one new playable form, one new enemy.

Should be a cheap Add-on.

Cool, hopefully in the UK the cost will be about a quid, if so I think I might have to purchase. Very relaxing.

I DL'ed the update last night and really enjoyed it. The rumble is a nice added feature. Worth the extra $ IMO.

How does the screenshot taker work and does it save JPG's or PNG's?

I am a little confused in the game.. what happens when I turn red after eating certain guys? And what happens when I (or others) turn blue?
There are like no instruction in game so i am trying to figure it out as I go.

Also, can someone who joins in, leave? I couldn't turn off the 2nd player once they started.

PS3 Fanboy hands-on: fl0w expansi0n

Quote:
After the initial install, you'll see a brand new background appear for the game in the XMB. The soft blue that covers the XMB waves is much appreciated: it gives the game that much more character, even before the game actually launches. Once you get to the character select screen, you'll see a brand new addition -- it's our favorite creature yet, in fact.

...
I hope this goes on the UK/EU stores soon.

Red means you're in aggressive mode. You move faster, attack faster (more frequent "bites"), and digest anything you eat at a rapid pace.

Blue means you're in retreat mode. You can't attack (devour things), and your movement speed is sometimes reduced, depending on the creature.

There's a third color, yellow. You'll only see it in a few places. Yellow occurs when you've either eaten "poisoned" food, or have been attacked by one of the stealthy creatures that "cloak". Yellow is like blue, but more so; extremely reduced movement speed, and an inability to attack.

Yes, you can make them go away just by turning off their controller. Hit the PS button on their controller, and select "Turn off the controller". Their creature will disappear.

Certain creatures will break down and release "camera food", which looks like two little bubbles stuck together. Devouring this food will freeze the game for a moment and save the image to your Photos category on the XMB.

The images are 1920x1080 JPGs, suitable for use as wallpaper.

I'd have much preferred PNG's like LocoRoco PSP outputs.

You can download two flOw music themes from the Composer's Website.

Europe finally got the expansion today, the added antialiasing was a nice surprise, flOw looks a lot more polished now.

The JPG screenshots don't show any obvious artifacting so it's not so bad they didn't use PNG's. Just a shame about the pause.

what? Really? I diddnt know you could do that with Fl0w.
Ill have to check that out. I would definately think it would be the Print Screen button on your Keyboard (normally to the right of your keyboard somewhere between your letter keys and number pad.)
Thats what it was for Resistance...

A screenshot is taken something like 5 seconds after you eat one of the unique food types, they're pretty rare so you should realise which type it is.
