Is there anyway to cancel after you made the order and switch to Tower.com? They probably already charged my credit card. *angry*

From my experience, the companies usually do not charge your card until they have shipped the item. That's not to say that some companies won't charge you when you place the order. My guess is that their website will inform you how to cancel the order, at which point they should credit your card if they already charged you.

If I were you, I wouldn't take a chance. I would cancel it and then go to Tower.com. I've noticed that their webpage isn't for a pre-order, but that they have it for sale ready to ship. I'm hoping that tomorrow I will receive a shipping notice form them.

Wow, i just checked Tower's site and even the lowest shipping is $2.30 on top of their 23 dollar price tag (which was already 3 dollars above family video) so in the end your paying like 25 bucks instead of 22 and some change for this movie. You must REALLy like it. For me, I think I can wait, but thanks for the advice. I dont need the movie that badly.

I like paying in the low 20's for my blu-rays if that (with the expection of TNBC recently, which was 27 and one of my most expensive blu-ray purchases yet).

I ordered 1408 from Tower.com yesterday and just received an e-mail saying it has shipped. Guess I should have ordered The Mist from there, too. LOL

I can wait until September 16th, I suppose.

How much did it cost you guys in total to recieve the blu-ray early? If I make an order for two day shipping and if the amount (after shipping) is above $25 do I get the shipping free? How does it work?

Please post impressions after you have watched the disc (yea, I spelled it correctly).

And, this gives me a tiny bit of hope, Family Video said it was shipping this title now and within the day added "coming soon", just like tower.com did now.

Anyway, like I said, only a tiny bit of hope that I may be getting this soon. Either way, as much as I love Stephen King and this director's adaptations of his movies, I'm not paying close to 30 bucks to have this movie early.

Unfortunately, I won't have a chance to fully check it out until this evening. All I've done so far was make sure it worked (wasnt damaged). The menu is kind of weird and moving. I liked the misty border and the moving menu but it did take me a minute to figure out how to close the audio options. I didn't notice the X initially and using the arrow keys like I normally do wouldn't close out the option. The opening scene looked pretty good (watching the color version) but I literally only watched about 30 seconds so making that comment was probably pointless. I've only watched the color version but with it, I wouldn't say it's a demo disc. It looks and sounds okay though. Actually, when there is a lot of sound, it's great but at times it's pretty quiet. Heh, at one point my subwoofer even turned off. Early on though, the sub got a really good workout. Anyway, this was my first time seeing the movie and I was
