Those childhood movies were good for its time even though its a nuisance to listen and watch the horrible special effects and audio.

Yeah I remember this one. It had Paul Reubens as the voice of the 'eye' in the ship and a younger Sarah Jessica Parker(I think). Remember the Explorers? I used to love that movie, but if I were to watch it now, well I don't know. I have a movie called Thrashin' on dvd and watched it again recently. Now I laugh at it when I see it.

It has to be Quantum Leap for me, I watched this all the time, but recently cannot even sit through some of the better episodes. Oh well at least there are fond memories.

Dude, I don't remember seeing a younger Sarah Jessica Parker because I didn't know who she was. The Explorers? I sure don't remember. It was a weird movie, thats all I remember.

It could be it. I have it on my shelf but too embarrassed to play it. You might also be thinking about China Beach.

No, my wife and I also watched China Beach, which was on during the same seasons. Didn't like it as much, but Dana Delany was cute.

That's the one, I also liked it. For what it was it was pretty good. How much of the realities of the Vietnam War could you show on network TV in the 80's?

Also The Super Friends, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, and He-Man are rather cheesy as are most 80s cartoons, although I must admit that I have all the episodes of Thundercats, Transformers, and Voltron on dvd.

I tried watching A Nightmare on Elm Street but it was so cheesy and not even scary. To me it seemed more like a comedy when I watched it again.


Krull and Clash of the Titans are also horrible to watch now.

Someone mentioned Willow in a previous post, thats actually still a decent movie and IMO an underrated film.
