Has anyone seen if the Smallville season 6 blu-ray box set has been slimmed down too? That was the same case as the old Blade Runner, but only housed 4 discs.

That's awesome! Personally, I'd rather have the slim case so all my cases match and it doesn't take up more space.

Damn, and I was impressed with the original packaging. No worries, I still think it's pretty decent for a 5 disc set.

But yeah I'm also pretty curious to see the inside of this thing.

I've been using this case for a couple months now after I bought the Dirty Harry Collection and put all five movies inside. I actually find it hard to remove the discs from the hubs for some reason. Each individual disc holder is so flimsy and thin now.

Blade Runner was the best value for money 5 BR box set ever issued, I mean, the price was what, 20 bucks ? What more price reduction do you want ? This set is worth 200 $, it's a bargain.

I think I noticed the bulky one had the holographic look and the thinner one didn't am I correct, if so people might go for the holographic one just for better collection type.

I like the look of everything in the same, standard, cases but... I've given it up. I dug out all the slip covers I had stored in a box in the basement and put them back on. You have to admit the slip cover for PoTC III is nearly cooler than the movie itself. I had hopes for a uniform and neat looking collection but I won't resort to printing my own cover art and stashing away the custom packaging. These days... I just put all the "special" cases in one area.

Blade Runner, even though I have the older and thicker one, looks enough like a standard case to go in with the regular cases.

I must have that OCD stuff and ADD and lots of other TLA (Three Letter Acronyms).. oh well,...such is life.

I was in Best Buy last night and they had 2 copies in the smaller case. I picked one up. I think another reason they switched is I've read the bigger case was prone to having loose discs inside, particularly disc 5. This smaller case is much more snug. I like it.
