I'd spend 40 on Iron Man.

I'd spend 200 on D.E.B.S!!!

Definitely anything on Conan the Barbarian

It depends on the title.

On average I would say anything more than $25 makes me hesitate.

I would spend upwards of $50 on any Malick film on Blu-ray, but that's me; I love his films. Will I spend $25 on The Mist? No. If it were $10, would I? Also no, because I didn't particularly like the film. So, price - to a reasonable point - doesn't mean a great deal when it comes to films I love or don't love: If I love it, I'll buy it; if I don't, I will not buy it.

It's a very relative thing. I'll take the question to refer to your average catalog title that the consumer in question likes, doesn't love. For instance, I liked the new Indiana Jones film a great deal. However, the Blu-ray on Amazon is $27. That's too much. If it were $14, would I buy it? Probably. If it liked it a tad more, I might be willing to pay $20. It depends. I will never spend more than $20 for a movie I just 'liked'.

23 USD but that's an average:
  • 10-15 USD for a catalog title or relatively small budget new movie
  • 25-27 USD for a new big budget movie (Transformers, Iron Man, etc)
  • 40-50 USD for Japanese domestic releases (you can't find them cheaper than that anyway)

Transformers just dropped below $20...that's all it takes. Now for IronMan and Incredible Hulk.

It depends on the title. I'd gladly pay $30 for any of the LOTR movies. I also don't have a problem paying up to $25 for new releases of movies that I really want (Transformers, Iron Man). OTOH, I'm not paying more then $15 for catalog titles that I already own on DVD.

$25 is max. I always feel guilty when I spend that much on a single title though.
