There is no issue. You just have to let the content download. Start the disc, walk away for 10 minutes. Come back and that should do it.

I'm doing this advice right now. I just came back from returning the first copy of the target edition blue ray and the same thing is happening with disc 1 (just the blue energy thing showing). I hope you are right that this will work moving forward after downloading content. How do you confirm that it is downloading content?

I have use a ps3 for blu-ray...anyone else having problems with this?

I was having the same issue. I turned off BD Live and it loaded fine. Give it a try.

I got my copy at Target (where I work), it plays fine in my Sony BDP-S300. The shrink wrap did not have a UPC code on it, only on the plastic case itself, also- no fingerprints. The suggestion by Blu-ray Fanatic that Target sold a used copy is ridiculous, considering it was just released today!

You work at Target? You would say something like that to deceive your customers and get a pay raise. I'm not surprised how cheap Target is. Can't trust nobody these days.

ppl working at Target dont get paid via commission... and you dont get a pay raise based on things like DVDs sold... Target doesnt track that per employee...
employees have no reason to try to force you to buy something...

get your facts straight before you try to bash one of the most successful companies in the US...

The goofy target edition is listed as having exlusive bonus footage. Is this any different than any other stores. i.e. does this edition have something the other Blu's from say amazon or Best buy have besides rediculous packaging?

Thanks!
I picked up the Target version too, as I liked the packaging (I know it's not for everyone, but I like it) AND for the 'exclusive' extra 'footage'! I have bought many other "exclusive" verisons of DVDs and Blu-rays from B&M stores in the past, and most of them have been very specific about WHAT 'exclusive' extras are included, and there is usually an extra disc added to the packaging. I have tried searching for any discusion or info on this topic, and Blu-ray.com has been the only one to have any such discusion.

I am at bit bummed at the thought that they CLAIMED in the ad to have "extra bounus footage" only to find that there likely is none, but I paid my extra $2 for the cool mask case and the bonus footage, and at least I got the case I wanted. I can always get the regular version eventually (once it's on sale for less than $20) and use that one most of the time, especially to lend out, and keep the "Target Mask-case" version on display.

this cover is atrocious.

I left Target and bought it at Kmart...what a stupid decision to only carry that version...

I have the plain manly case from Amazon.

I was disappointed because I thought Digital Copy was part of the release. Silly Rabbit! Digital Copies are for KIDS. Seriously, I thought Iron Man included DC, but I was mistaken. Sigh.

I bought the target version of Iron Man. The disc loaded extremely (10 sec.) fast and it is the correct version. My only complaint is Disc 1 has some scratches and some fingerprint on it. Does anyone have a similar issue? Thx

second person to report fingerprint on disc. This is just speculation but do you think that Target ordered the disc in the standard package and then transfered the disc to the head case by hand?

LOL you are the second person ive seen on a forum saying stuff like that. I work at target and no we didnt do that. Things like that happen at the factory, not at the stores that sell the discs. We dont even have a shrink wrap machine so there would be no way to seal the discs back up.

Who is saying that it happened at store/retail level. It could have happened at the vendor, wholesale or manufactor level. Target does not make it - it buys them from someone.
