The only place you'll find the iron man steelbook is online, probably ebay. I've never seen it in store in the US. There are some users in the Trade forum who may part with it.

No less than $60 on ebay, good luck. I missed out on this one. I went into buy my first player w/ free Ironman, but the salesman said they were not giving out the steelbook versions .

just searched on ebay to see what type of investment this would require, no less than $60 if u can find one w/free shipping. otherwise in the $70 range.

considering The Dark Knight is gonna cost me $50ish, $60 is not bad for a release that is 6 months old.

are steelbooks a limited time thing?? they put them out and once they are gone no more are made or how does that work?? i live in the states so i'm just starting to look @ these.

Most of the ones we have gotten here in Canada have been one run and done.

so it could be considered an actual "special edition" since there won't be another one like it in 6 months!!

Almost. I do believe that all SteelBooks are limited runs. Some are just more popular than others.

On the European side I believe the steelbooks have much longer runs than those on the FS site.

ehh, alot of the FS releases are scalped up and shipped to the USA more frequently than the UK releases due to proxmity and ease of getting the goods

What are you talking about exactly?

All I am saying is that the Future shop steelbooks are pre-order only. Once they run out they are gone. In the Euro sector the steelbooks are available long after release date.

Thats all.

Isnt that the case with sweeney todd, replaced with plastic case, same with 10000 BC, being replaced or has been.

So I wouldn't say its isolated to canada or there is such a demand and lack of means to replace it that they dont bother, not sure but we have only had 3 big releases and I am sure they were more tests than anything. FS created a niche product and they dont wanna kill the demand with a 'over-supply'

Thats what I am Guessing from what i see. Germany does replenish stock, I hear Rambo is being restocked soon... or thats whats being reported from what Amazon told the customers

FutureShop titles can be found in store but not necessarily online for extended times

True.. Items seem to be removed from the online store when stores still have stock, case in point the Hulk and Spider-man 3 releases are still available in some places

i dont agree europe has longer runs i just dont think the english was buying those movies and didnt give a crap if its a steelbook. why would sweeny todd be selling for $80. Sweeny todd is starting to sell out at amazon and play for example because steelbooks are starting to get more popular. 10,000bc needs a little more time cause it sucks and people dont want it.

The us and canada has pre-orders for the steelbooks but that is only to guarantee that you will get your copy, they are still available in the stores long after pre-order like bonds are still in best buy.

They are not just pre-order. Each store gets a percentage of the stock as well.

Default loose blu-ray in iron man steelbook, what?!

so..i bought the iron man steelbook off of ebay, guess what i got in the mail..

the iron man steelbook packaged nicely till i took off the bubble wrap and turned it over to look at the information on the back......clink clink clink, the Blu-ray is loose and bouncing around inside the still sealed SB..

how many times has this happened to people??? & is your perfectly fine solid steelbook iron man worth more?..haha..

i can only think of the damage that it causes....grrrr.

I've never had that problem before actually with a movie I ordered over the Internet. Not to mention the only time I get a movie that isn't on the button is when I get a movie with a busted case. I don't get those anymore though because I shake movies before I buy them.

I've had that happen numerous times on DVD, and once or twice on Blu-ray. It probably won't damage the disc, but I'd watch it right away to make sure.

haha, the only time ive been unhappy about a loose disc was when a movie i got from amazon came loose because the little plastic deals that you push the disc onto to keep it in place were all broken off inside the case, but i just had to use a replacement case, so the situation was remedied in under a minute, i think this one was probably taken care of in about 4 seconds, take it easy OP, relax and enjoy your steelbook!
