No... it's really not.

As mentioned, where I used to live {which is near the nation's capital} it got down to -60.

So why all the meteorologists always say Quebec's winter is the coldest, also Quebec is close to the Atlantic Ocean which is colder then the Pacific Ocean therefore, Quebec's general winter weather is colder.

I know I've been on the Plains of Abraham at -65 with wind chill it was to cold to ski that day
Never been to Winterpeg but I hear it's lovely there as well. The east coast just gets hurricanes and freak snow storms.

Thought I would give this a bump as we've had many more members join and I was interested to see where all the newer ones are from.

I hope a few others join in and let us know where they're from. NB is a great place...used to travel there monthly for business...mostly Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton. Hope someone from there connects on here!

I'm with ya 100% on that score! Lived in Montreal between 1967 and 1985 and saw a lot of games. Was lucky to see a lot of the greats play, even though some were at the end of their career.

I remember the old Forum and when you walked in you could just smell the history! What great memories!

I grew up with the team from the 70's of course many here will argue that the team from the 50's or even the 60's was better but for me the 1970's Montreal Canadiens are the greatest team ever put together.

That's a tough one to decide between as I never saw "les gars" play in the 50's, but I sure have fond memories of that 70's dynasty!

My fave player in the laste 60's was J.C.Trembley....loved his classic "spin-a-rama" move. He used to get them all the time with that move! A classic!
