No offense to the original poster of the thread. In 2008, we were still educating people about what HD actually was, and he obviously didn't have a good grasp of it. Many of the general public still don't, which has been blu-ray's biggest problem. I wonder too, when he asked the question, what size of TV did he own? Someone watching movies on a 27" diagonal screen may very well have not noticed a big difference, but it was there.
