I second a vote for How the West Was Won. It came out before I was born, but it's got a stellar cast of the early 60's and the Cinerama gimmick might provide some nostalgia also. And it comes in two versions, widescreen and SmileBox. The PQ is great; I always pop it in when friends come over so they can see the bug splats on the windshield in the film's opening flyover into the west.

My recommendation: be careful not to blow him away too much. He is 95, after all...
