Why???? How could you buy a dvd version when there is a blu ray available? I really dont understand. I cant handle watching SD unless i absolutely have to.

I have the first three seasons on DVD and just ordered the 4th on DVD as well. I am not yet adopting the tv-on-blu-ray format yet. Those seasons are still too expensive. Plus, TV shows like Lost have a pretty low rewatch value to me, the only reason I buy them to begin with is because renting them disc-by-disc is usually the same price as buying them used.

LOL don't take me seriously. I was just pointing the fact that all DVD are cheaper than Blu-ray right now.

Bought 3 and 4 on blu. Sold 1 & 2 last year on dvd. Kinda peeved that 1 & 2 are not out on blu yet. I won't watch 3 & 4 until I get the first two.

What is it that gets into people when they get on the internet that gives them delusions of grandeur to dare speak for other people?
I am damned happy with season 3 on blu and also with season 4, both are great and if they release the whole series later without seperately having 1 and 2 then I will cross that bridge when I get to it.

The 13 dollar difference is totally worth it to pick up the Blu Set but I guess that's just me. I cant stand SD.

If you want you're fix. Watch the Lost Recap in 8min 15 sec. There's plenty of S1 and 2 scene in HD

if this is true, I'll double dip.

actually, as this is among my favorite shows, I'd probably double dip just for the inevitable extra feature that a boxed set would contain.

I'll definitely double dip. I triple dipped on Twin Peaks; I bought the VHS versions, the individual seasons on DVD, and then the Gold Box set. If it's released on Blu-ray I'll buy it again. If you really love a show (and other shows pale in comparison to Lost and Twin Peaks) I don't see double dipping being an issue. Is it overkill? Yes. But IMO they deserve my money for making one of the best shows of all time. Period.

ALSO they're probably going to remaster certain parts of the original seasons anyway, so seasons 3 and 4 may look even better when released in the box set.

this post makes me think of what things will be like in 10 years. we'll see a thread, "Lost Series Remastered Re-Done on SUPER DUPER RAY Disc" with posts like:

man i remember getting season 1-2 on sd dvd, then season 3-5 on blu ray..then the box set came out for season 1-6 on blu ray i bought that, sold my other sets, now i just sold my blu ray box set so i could get this one!
