I have a Sony and a Philips ( LCD ) 1080p. I think they are both great TVs. Back in the old days of tube TVs I always bought Sony. I had a trinitron that lasted almost 20 years.

i dont remember the tube tv i had growing up.. it was in a bulky wood cabinet

( like a wood box with a screen in the middle )

times sure have changed..

i had a philips lcd, worked great

Im going with the Sony XBR series...I usually dislike Sony products, but this time, they got it right - with me at least.

basicly from the looks of it.. you know you can recommend a sony or a sammy to anyone and not go wrong.. thats a great thing for people who don't know much about the technicals. 1080p and one of those brands

Man this was a close poll! The Samsung TOC is a beautiful tv. I love the red bezel around the screen. When it comes to a beautiful HD Samsung has it won but I will still take Sony and thats because I am a big fan of Sony! lol

depends...

if ur talking about picture quality it goes to samsung series 6 or higher...

if ur talking about its style/bezel/etc... the sharp aquos d64u is easily THE sexiest tv ever made
