If you want something in particular, I suggest always relying on the legitimate way of acquiring it. No complications that way. Like I said in a previous post regarding the GoW costume/sticker pack... try calling Gamestop/EB Games locations around your community. Several in Vancouver were shipped a bunch of codes a couple of weeks AFTER the release which are now just sitting behind the counter waiting to expire. They gave one to me over the phone without any questions and I verified it worked on the PSN while I still had them on the phone in case I needed another one.

if it was illegal there would be hacking involved. It's gray at best, but it's basically sharing with new on-line friends. And if your system crashed i'm SURE sony would let you have access to your account on a new PS3... Regardless of the number you had your content on.

If your system crashed, you could always look at your download history, find the item, and redownload it from there (your download history never disappears) or call SONY as another poster said and it crashing after a share is kinda unlikely (ive been sharing constantly since August) and my system hasnt "crashed" once.

I also don't think sharing is "hacking"...you are exchanging passwords via your own consent. Notihng is being taken by force

Call around from gamestop to gamestop. They have codes left over. I got my GOW code today from a gamestop near by. They gave it to me over the phone. There are a ton out there still just have to take some time to get them.

Looking for the Nariko code now if anyone has that. Seems this one is a bit harder to get. If anyone has it to share I would greatly appreciate it.

First, I already explained that I know how to redownload my content in the case of a system crash. It's the fact that you are only SUPPOSED to have a maximum of 5 downloads per purchased item on the Playstation Store. So, if I share my account so that others can download those items, it is using up my 5 download capacity. Then, after sharing all of my content with 4 other people, if my system crashes, I will then HAVE TO PURCHASE AGAIN.

Secondly, I also never said anything about it being "hacking" to share content. I did however say that this method of sharing content is a form of PIRACY which I will not partake in. Much the same as I would never download a movie of of a torrent site. That is considered theft.

^ He's right. I would not nor would I do that either. I have sold a 60 gig ps3 and bought an 80 gig and I needed to redownload all my stuff again. So for some things on my ps3 I can only download 3 more times. I would not risk that. That is why I am asking for the codes for things and not someone's PSN name and password. To risky if you ask me.

I think you guys are wrong but it is just opinions and seems to be we are all playing a "what if" game with each other over the matter and no one has 100% proof yet from what ive read on the matter. For me once somethings in my downloaded history i can re download it how many times i want (ive done this more then 5 times on at least 3 items that i know of). I dont think it counts as a"share". But like I said, we are all just guessing and only SONY has the answers. So you can do your thing, and us game sharers can do ours.

I tried, but everyone was being whatever they were being... So I figured I'd throw it out there and let it be got in the spirit of the forums. Maybe someone will reward me with some DLC one day.

There's ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that Sony would MAKE you buy everything again if your system crashed... What about people that do it with parents and 4 kids all with their own PS3? One crashes then Sony MAKES them rebuy? I doubt it.

There is no limit to how many times you can download something on your account.

Your PSN ID can be activated on up to 5 PS3's. Once it's activated onto a PS3, you can download stuff as many times as you want. Many people confuse the 5 PS3 limit with some sort of 5 download limit.

Haha. I can see why it might be smart to only share with 3 people, so you can keep the 5th activation for a potential new PS3 down the road, or if you ever want to get a second one.

Anyhow, I'm surprised that with all this talk of game sharing, the thread hasn't been shut down yet.

Well, I had a talk awhile ago with a mod here about why a thread about getting beta invites and sharing them was OK but my posts about wanting to share content were getting deleted when its basically the same principle. Maybe that turned some heads and changed some minds bout the way things are run in that regard.
