FYI, not all of Alliance's Blu's are barebones, but most of the newest catalogue titles are. The Constant Gardener & Memento ported over extras from the previous DVD releases. Since Alliance is not issuing press releases or anything for these titles, it really does suck that we have to wait for release day to know anything about them. I would really like to know about extras & cover art in advance.

I was going to make a post on this today, and glad someone else made it (or three per previous post!).

Was going to ask what the odds are that we'll get SE7EN when Benjamin Button arrives on Blu-ray? Pitt/Fincher for both films. Seems like a good marketing play if you ask me!

I can see it happening, sure. Warner Bros. is now in charge of all New Line discs in the US (not yet in Canada), so if they have home video distribution rights for Ben Button over Paramount, then maybe... But I think Paramount will be putting it out on DVD/Blu just like Zodiac.

As for the cover art on the Canadian release, I'm sure it will be the original poster art/1st DVD release cover.

I cannot believe the OP put Se7en and Freddy vs. Jason in the same post. But yeah I wish we were getting se7en also.

And let's not forget The Butterfly Effect which is coming out soon in CA
Anyway, there's really no reason for *****ing as you can import them. Remember, this country is not the belly button of the universe.

"When its ready", or "When it gets released"? The movie exists as a 4K master somewhere, so its ready. It just hasn't been released.

Yup, and most likely without extras, which is too bad. Chances are it will be region A locked and will use the older 1-disc cover art (just like the Canadian Sin City release, although it wasn't Region locked).

If the transfer is right I'll import the Alliance version until Warner gets off their butts and give us a BD version of the stella platinum edition.

sorry , but most likely region coded(alliance s releases are region coded so far..)

The Scandinavian release always was. ONE website showed it and everyone went berzerk.

For those in the NYC area, the Sunshine cinemas will be showing the movie at midnight this Friday and Saturday. I've never seen it on the screen so i'm stoked!!!

Can't wait for this movie to come out on bluray. I have the collectors edition DVD but will definitely have to get it when it comes out.

Finally we might get it with decent audio on BD. That DVD edition, saddled as it was with no fewer than four commentary tracks, had pathetic audio, nothing like as punchy as the laserdisc editions from Criterion and Image.

Like Sin City, this is a tough one for me. I LOVE this film like many others here and want it on BD sooner than later. The problem I have is that like Sin City, the Alliance/Canadian release figures to probably have nothing on it but the film. With that being the case, I'm almost positive I would buy a US release if/when it comes out and has some extras on it.

So the question is this: do I double dip or not? Luckily Sin City is rumored to be coming to the US in May so I am holding off on that one... I'm not sure how long I can hold out on Se7en though.

Has anyone seen the Canadian cover art for this? Does it have French writing on the cover?
