With Peacock launching today, I'm surprised that even a new DVD set is coming. I'd say the chances of a blu-ray set being released is less than 10%

I'm assuming Peacock is also just the same SD transfers of S1-9 we're used to?

Probably but I don't have access to confirm. What I did find out though is that season 10 like previous seasons wasn't finished in HD, it's just SD heavily cropped to widescreen and upscaled (on Itunes anyway), it's much better to watch the dvds.
Season 11 is the only season in real HD (and uncropped).

Interesting! I didn't know that. I wonder why they did that for just the one season.

I've recorded most of the episodes when they were broadcast in HD on the Hallmark channel. The upscale looked fantastic.

For which season? were they upscales in 4:3? Because season 10 is labelled HD on Itunes and it is completely cropped, no gain on the sides.

All seasons. It's cropped on the sides, but the 4:3 upscale look amazing. Even season/episode 1(The Good Son) is unbelievable.

Wouldn’t this be on Paramount+, not Peacock? Or is NBC entitled to the streaming rights from their initial broadcast rights?

Anyway, with the reboot coming, I hope they’ve undertaken an HD remaster. Would make sense to have the whole series in HD quality if they want to get newcomers to watch the new show!

Eleven years (!) after I joined this discussion, Frasier has finally been released on Blu-Ray.

It's long overdue, but the result is a truly amazing collection of episodes that were obviously given the technical treatment and respect that the series deserves.

The quality is excellent - light years ahead of anything you may have seen over the past few years on streaming networks and/or DVD releases.

All episodes are in their originally-aired aspect ratios:

• Seasons 1 through 9 are 4:3
• Seasons 10 and 11 are 16:9

Audio is superb in completely lossless DTS-Master format.

As I enjoy Frasier in its newfound Blu-Ray glory, I can't help but wonder if my other favourite shows will ever see their Blu-Ray debuts (Seinfeld, Cheers, Wings, Who's the Boss, Growing Pains, Night Court, Married with Children, Gilligan's Island).
