Going to be a great Sunday for golf. I love watching The Masters on Sunday.

Have not had the time to play golf this year. I hope to play this summer.

Danny boy!! It's kinda weird that the 20th anniversary of England's last Masters winner was ushered in with another Englishman cleaning up after a shocking collapse from the leader. Not that Danny didn't deserve it, that final round was superb but Spieth should've been out of sight. Heck, if Spieth hadn't double bogeyed the last on Day 3 then he'd have only been one shot behind even with yesterday's horror show. Oh well, it's history now.

How about that trick shot from Oosthuizen on 16! Magic.

The stuff with whether or not Dustin Johnson touched or did not touch the ball yesterday on the putt was moronic. They needed to make a call during the round yesterday, not alert the players midway through the round about a potential penalty. It was clear the officials had already made up their minds that a penalty stroke was going to be assessed, so just make that ruling during the round. The PGA was fortunate that DJ pulled away so it didn't matter.

Anyone watching the masters on Sky in the UK? Thomas Bjorn on commentary sounds just like Dr Killinger

Cracking finish. Rose was so impressive down the back nine but Sergio just wouldn't quit, and him finally getting a major - and the Masters at that - made this Britisher get a little misty-eyed. Rose winning would've cemented his legacy but damn, if there was anyone else I wanted to win it was Sergio, and on Seve's 60th birthday too. Vamos!

Incredible that Sergio wasn't a blubbering wreck when he finally won it.

I thought it was mandatory these days.

Have to say. I was sure that it was Rose's when he birdied 16 and Sergio didn't following his eagle at 15.

I figured it was going to come down to the putts and Rose would prevail. But Garcia birdied the play-off hole with a nice one which meant that Justin's miss off the tee didn't totally define the victory.

Well played, both of them.

Right? I thought he'd be crying his eyes out but after his initial yell it's more quiet relief than anything, he seemed so calm and composed when being interviewed prior to receiving that oh-so-ugly but oh-so-beautiful green jacket. He's been a pro for so long but has made so much money off the back of it - nudging close to $50M in career earnings thus far - that this wasn't some random journeyman getting the win of a lifetime nor was it the validation of a career full of crushing disappointments, it was simply the next step for the Spaniard. Not even winning it on Seve's 60th was enough to get the waterworks flowing, and I think that says something about his state of mind.

If he had started crying though, I'm pretty sure I would have started too.

I saw in the press conference he talked about the final putt on the 72nd hole to win and how every round that week and in practice it always broke left.

I've looked at a few old videos of players making similar putts , on Sunday, and the commentator almost always warned about the ball wandering off to the right!

Better them than me. That's all I can say.

If putting wasn't involved I might have enjoyed golf.

Tiger Woods seems to be nearing rock bottom.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/29/us/tig...-arrested-dui/

Quote:
Golfer Tiger Woods, currently rehabbing from back surgery, was arrested early on Memorial Day on suspicion of driving under the influence in Florida, according to police.

Woods was arrested around 3 a.m. Monday in Jupiter, Florida, Jupiter police spokeswoman Kristin Rightler said. He was booked into a local jail and released on his own recognizance with no bond a few hours later, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office's online records.

It's unclear whether Woods tested positive for alcohol or drugs. It's also unknown at this time whether Woods was the only person in the vehicle. An arrest report was not immediately available on Monday.

Woods has a home on Jupiter Island.
