I'm still on "not paying full price" mode, so I'll pick it up used whenever I find it. I'm buying it though, I've been a big fan of that movie since I saw it in the theater in August 2004.

Wasnt' Collateral one of the first movies to film with HD cameras?

I remember several scenes early in the movie that looked "too real" to be a movie if anyone can follow that terrible description.

There's no "film grain" because there's no film. Collateral was shot entirely on video. The "grain" is actually video noise caused by low light conditions.

Im not believing this yet..I did find this link http://releaselists.com/BLURAYNorthAmerica.html , it's listed there, but remember, Collateral Damage is coming out on April 7th--, the same day collateral is announced.. coinencidence?? Dunno, maybe someone got confused, maybe a typo..or may not, i just dont believe it yet.

This was a decent movie if you like Cruise and Mann does a fine job of directing. However the story gets laughable when Cruise's charachter gets into a wreck towards the end of the film. IMO get M Mann's film MIAMI VICE. Vice is a much better film than Collateral as it's more epic, has more realistic tone to it, and is a reference quality blu ray. Go with Vice if you want some Mann and wait till Heat gets announced!!!
