Default What is your favorite Star Wars Episode?

As I have seen that most of you have the Star Wars movies in your collection, I was wondering what your favorite Episode is??

I myself can't make up my mind yet, but it's either AOTC or ROTS. I am going to chose later.

It would also be great to hear why you love that particular Episode best.
Thanks a lot

This is my first Poll, so please be forgiving in case there are any trouble.

Nobody has it in their collection because it isn't out. The only Star Wars available on bluray is The Clone Wars animated movie and series.

IV - the original and the best.

I'm not a hater of the prequels either, but none of the other five had the same impact New Hope did when it busted out.

I voted for EMPIRE STRIKES BACK but I'm surprised to say that
ROTS is a very close second-- I thought it was a great movie!

the original STAR WARS gets 3rd place for me....

A New Hope is my favorite and I think it is the best. The rest are pretty equal with good and bad in all of them.

Empire Strikes Back was perfect SW canon, and NOT directed by George Lucas!

Need I say more?

Edit: And Darth Vader beats the cr@p out of Luke too!

Gotta be Empire Strikes Back. The movie is so good it feels like it's over in less than an hour. From the AT-AT attack on Hoth, to Luke meeting and learning the ways of the Force from Yoda, to the epic Cloud City sequences in which Vader fights Luke for the first time. "No, I am your father!"

I would have voted for the Holiday Special, but it's not up there so Empire gets my vote.

Way before they were called Episodes. Way before they were altered. Way before the laughable pre-quels. Way before George's brain cells died. There was a great movie called STAR WARS. I'm going with the one that started it all...

The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite of the series. From the scenes on Hoth, to the introduction (or re-introduction depending on the order you watch them) of Yoda, to the fight/reveal with Luke and Vader. I love the entire movie and have very very little, if anything, I dislike about it.

My order for the whole series would be:

The Empire Strikes Back
Revenge of the Sith
Return of the Jedi
The Phantom Menace (bolstered mainly by Neeson and McGreggor)
A New Hope (No, I didn't mess up and put this one 5th by accident)
Attack of the Clones (I don't hate it but I definitely don't like it as much as the others)

From 1980 to 1983 The Emipre Strikes Back was the better film (because you really didnt know anything was he or wasnt he...who was the other). Return of the Jedi killed the monumental moment and now those silly prequles have killed the last of what made Empire so great!

The first film is the best and let me tell you why. Because it is the only film that can stand on its own. It has a begining and ends perfectly! It does not need the other films at all. Yes Empire "had the better story maybe" but as I said what it once was is now gone. Not to mention Empire is just the popular choice for the last 15 years or so....

now another subject that I am sure you will balk on is the FACT that of the silly prequels The Phantom Menace is by far the better picture (but the popular misguided choice is Revenge of Hayden). Its has the same pacing and has more "Star Wars" feel than those other two pieces of garbage (called Revenge of Hayden and Attack of Hayden). Yes I know Jar Jar sucks the life out of it but you take away Jar Jar and all that midichlorian junk and give Maul a little more screen time you have a film that would not be silly and at least rival the Return of the Jedi for the third best.

Star Wars (Not a New Hope) we do not recognize that name!
Empire
Jedi

and Phantom (had so much potential)

the other two were bantha poodoo.
