I just used some undercabinet fluorescent lights from walmart and adhered them to the back of my dlp with some pieces of velcro. I got some blue colored vinyl that is really thin, just like plastic and has adhesive on one side and used that to color the diffuser on the lights. I have all three of them plugged into an extension cord that is plugged into the switched outlet on the back of my receiver so they turn on and off with all my gear. It looks really good, works flawlessly, and everything out the door only cost me around $38. I'd post some pics if I had any, but I haven't taken any yet.

It is the cyron six pack. it does not say anything about being an expansion. I am looking to put a set behind my bedroom tv that is going to be wall mounted in the next week. I really only need 4 but if I could put the other 2 in another room then I would look into this set.

Can any help? I am sure someone here posted something.
Those look like the ones I have....you are not going to able to put the other two on another bedroom because they all have to be connected to that one controlling piece and the cable for the lights will not be long enough...but they work really good...i have some pics on my gallery...also you can change color or have a stable color of your choosing....

just remember, too much backlighting will cause a distortion in what you see in movies, and will reduce the intended "vision" of the video your viewing.

I have this exact set and I love it. You can see my pics in my HT gallery. They give you more then enough cord to get the job done.

Do you have to use all 6 or can you use only 4?

You don't have to use all of them. I believe that all of them are individually plugged into a box.

I almost didn't use the 15 ft lights but I ended up mounting them to the back of the two corner acoustics panels. I thought it looked good.

I just placed an order for the 6 pack set. Seems like the best deal for 6 15" bars. But of course i had to get expedited shipping because I'm too impatient so it was about $118 total.

You will enjoy the lights greatly. Cyron is a good company to work with if you have any problems. I have found the 4 15" lightbards that I have to have noticeably increased my viewing pleasure when watching movies. Just make sure that you dont' "group" them too close together behind the TV or what-not, like liquidice stated above, as it will drain on the PQ. Congrats on your purchase!

Nice looking pics. I have a hard time getting decent screen shots as well, but I can tell what's going on and it looks good. I recently installed a Cyron 6 pack setup. Pics are in my gallery.

Yes, me too. I like the pics, they're not that bad. You have yours set up relatively similiar to me. I used to have all 4 on the back of the TV, but felt that was overkill for my set up. I am much happier with one behind each speaker, one behind the top of the TV and 1 within my TV stand.

I bought a 6' light rope from lowes for $5 and it works great, I just didn't want to spend the money and I am very happy with the results.

I would love to make a DIY Ambilight type system to go around my screen. I wonder how that would turn out.
