No extras, and all Region A locked. Some of the above info will need to be confirmed later, & I'm hoping all the incorrect ratios aren't true! But it does look like they're just packaging the HD broadcast versions. They all still state Region 1...

From reading that list, if Alliance does not have access to the New Line elements (meaning that New Line already released it) then they are using the HD masters from the hi-def television broadcasts. That would be explain the 1.78 aspect ratios for a majority of their exclusive releases.

I'm still in for Transpotting, Boiler Room, A Man Apart and Knockaround Guys. Running Scared is a great movie but I already have the Dutch (or German) HD DVD Import I paid about $30 for...it looks amazing.

Really looking forward to these actually. Don't care about extras at all.

Stupid Alliance . Why did you have to screw up Running Scared. So disappointing, I guess I'll be waiting for the U.S release on it.

I can't figure out why Alliance would purposely mess with the Aspect Ratio. They might as well sell fullscreen blu-rays since they like to butcher films.

I don't think its Alliance messing with the ARs. Its just the HD masters they have to work with.

I picked up Boiler Room a couple days ago and I'm happy with my purchase. The BD is much more defined, a cleaner sharper presentation of the film. The BD has a DTS MA track and the soundtrack ROCKS!! I love the soundtrack and it really comes to life with this release.

As with a majority, if not all the Alliance releases, it's a barebones release. There are no subtitles at all, can select between DTS MA, DD and I believe DD French 2.0.

I lost my copy of Boiler Room a few years back during a move, I was happy to pick it up again on BD.

What many people want to know is whether Reindeer Games is the director's cut. The artwork you posted does not say anything on the matter. What is the running time on the disc?

Wow! Chasing Amy's back cover looks almost the same as the Criterion DVD back cover. A lot of the elements are rearranged and a few logos are missing but otherwise, its pretty close.

Back cover posted says running time is 1h 44mins. Alliance almost always places the running time in the same space as the video specification. That would the length of the theatrical cut.

As for confirmation of this... well, considering the AR is 2.35:1 and the BD is listed as 1.78:1. That would mean that Alliance used the HD master intended for pay television and simply remastered it in progressive rather than leave it interlaced.

Well, I'm definately not picking up Running Scared! 1080i? No thanks.

Guess I'm going to spend the extra money and import the Dutch/German Blu-Ray... 1080p + DTS HD-MA

Picked up Man Apart, Running Scared and Knockaround Guys. Running Scared is 1080i, however, still looks amazing.
Man Apart is interesting, it is in 1:78, however, I did a compare with the original dvd that has the 2:35.1 and the bluray is open-matte, it shows the same picture from left to right and more picture at the top and bottom. So you don't get the original theatrical aspect ratio, but yoiu get more picture that fills up that wide-screen perfectly with no black bars.... Alliance is actually giving us more picture for our buck.... i'll take that

thats one way of looking at it, Running Scared looks horrid, BTW, I compared it frame by frame with my German edition, the Alliance counterpart is very distorted and has alot of noise in the colors. Its 1080i.....I would grab the German edition over the Alliance version
