Call pioneer back and tell them to send you another one. They also sent me one that did not work.I called them and they said they are aware that some of their usb drives don't work.I ended up using another usb I had in the house.

I have the Pioneer firmware usb that they sent to me but I haven't used it. First I don't have any of those problems that the firmware is supposed to fix or I don't use that certain function of the tv ie. jpeg usage. Also I've read on some threads of people who lost functioning of their tv when they performed the firmware. My tv doesn't buzz and has no dead or stuck pixels. I feel if it ain't broke don't mess with it. None of the firmware seems to involve any basic function of the tv which to me is to put out an excellent picture. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's weird. Guess I'll give them a call. Thanks.

Ditto! I'm of the same mind frame. Why mess with something good/perfect!

I had the same problem as other members where after starting up the TV with the USB stick in, it did nothing. I'm running Mac OS X with some brand X USB stick. Originally the USB stick had a name of "NO NAME". I reformatted the drive using Disk Utility as a FAT-32 format and tried again. Worked like a charm!
