Only three I've seen from the list are Full Metal Jacket, Platoon and Apocalypse Now (theatrical cut), and I like them all about the same (which is to say, they're pretty great).

Of the four I own I would have to select Deer Hunter for the outstanding acting performance of Christopher Walken. Appocalypse Now would be a close second.

Apocalypse Now (Theatrical Cut) - I've not seen the Redux in a while so can't decide between the two yet.

After that obviously Full Metal Jacket, and then probably The Killing Fields, Rescue Dawn, Good Morning Vietnam, The Deer Hunter and Dead Presidents. I've not seen Coming Home yet but that seems like a film I would like.

Hell with Redux

APOCALYPSE NOW is a vietnam masterpiece imo. It has chilling performances from Brando, Sheen, Duvall. It has excellent repeat value. It is haunting and brilliant at the same time.
