Trainspotting is his best... I voted for Slumdog because I forgot what Trains was until right after.... The Beach is one of my 10 least favorite films

i love Trainspotting and 28 Days later and they were the films that made him that cult favourite director.
Then Slumdog came out which was ace but then everybody got on his bandwagon, well everyone in Radcliffe (where he's from)

I'll never watch Slumdog Millionaire.
Was a mix up between Shallow Grave, Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, Millions and Sunshine.

Sunshine is a great film , but the final act was a bit disappointing.

Also like 28 Days Later and Shallow Grave, but Trainspotting blew me away the 1st time I saw it.

So it got my vote, didn't care much for The Beach and I hated Slumdog Millionaire.

"Trainspotting" is probably the only one I don't have any problems with. All the other ones are great in many ways, but have one or two things I disagree with.

I've had a chance to meet Irvine Welsh a few times and he did say the rights had been purchased and that a film was likely to follow. This was two years ago now since I've seen him, so I imagine it's in limbo.
Would love to see it myself, although needs to be done well and not like the crap that happened to Chuck Palahniuk's Choke .

I've enjoyed most if not all of Boyle's films. Top of my list is Millions and Trainspotting. Although I also like 28 Days Later. The Beach was so-so, Alex's novel was ten times better.

Top 3
1. Shallow Grave
2. Trainspotting
3. 28 Days Later

I didn't like Slumdog at all. It just seemed like he'd lost the edginess (much as I hate the term) that made his early films so great.

Slumdog for me, something about that movie I really like even though its pretty depressing for a good part of it.
