The only blu ray discs I haven't gotten around to seeing out of my 30+ discs is Band Of Brothers[I need to find a week to watch it].

Dawn of the Dead
The Boondock Saints
The Dark Knight
King Kong
Clerks II

I don't know what is going on. Maybe there are 2 many blus every week to buy that I can't seem to find the time or I am just not in the mood to sit through The Saints again right now. But I was so jacked for it to come out.

Or maybe I am affaid I won't be able to find it later and end up spending a huge amount of cash for it (2 DISC SE OF MUNICH ANYONE?)
I've done that mainly with games, but I try to open up any movies and watch them within a month of purchase...just in case there is a problem with the movie. You usually have 30 days to return a blu-ray to a brick and mortar store so if you wait longer than that to watch it and there is a problem, you may be out of luck...

Uhm... no. I pop 'em open and usually watch them within the next day or two. The only one I haven't finished yet is Band of Brothers but I've seen it 3x and I watch it when I want to watch something but don't have time for a full movie.

What's the point? As fast as some of these drop in price you're just tossing money down the drain.

Exactly. I've had this happen about 6 times over the years where there is no disc in the case (twice with blu-ray). Let me tell you...that's fun trying to exchange a movie case for an actual movie. They look at you like you're crazy.

I usually watch my new blus right away unless it's a movie I already had in my collection as DVD. Then I'll either put it off or watch it right away, depending on my mood.

I open mine in the car while sitting in the store parking lot (makes sure all is well inside) then put the wrapper in the garbage can.
Then at home I quietly slip it into the shelf , wife doesn't know I bought it till much later , to which I say .... OH that , I bought that months ago

I don't open then 'til I watch them. I agree with others that there's just that extra feeling of anticipation that comes from breaking off the shrinkwrap just before you watch it. I know it doesn't feel the same with individual cases in a box set which don't have the individual shrinkwrap on them.

I try to watch everything I buy within a month. If it's a new release and/or I've paid more than $18 for it, I'll watch it right away so I don't regret the inevitable price drop later.

I'm lucky enough to have never bought an empty case. I always "twist-shake" my cases before I open them and listen for the sound of the disc squeaking as it spins around the center holder.

I tend to watch every movie I buy, either the day I get it,
or the next night. But for me putting a movie on is a way
of having background noises going on because I do not watch
much on broadcast TV.

Rip 'em open, shove 'em in the rack. The wife never notices.

Nope, I watch my movies within a few days after receiving them, plus I do not blind buy, that cut's down a lot on the numbers of BD I buy.

Yeah I definitely do this. About 38 of my movies are still sealed and a couple of them are some of the first Blus I ever bought. Stupid, I know, but most Blus I buy whenever I can find them cheap and even though I like the movie and want to own it, that doesn't necessarily mean I want to watch it right away. Some of the ones that stay sealed for long periods of time I probably could have lived without but hey, thems the breaks. I try to limit blind buys and impulse buys so that I don't end up with a huge collection I never watch.

I unwrap them in the parking lot of Best Buy, drive home, put them in the basket by the TV and watch one of the'm on Friday nights. Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons (when is not football season) we watch them downstairs in the home theater. Those suckers don't gather dust.

I usually rent blu-rays,because i honestly don't even know if i'll watch them a second time, unless its a fave movie.Idk,i guess i learned with dvd's not to buy everything i see. Blu rays imo,are expensive to buy still, although i do own a few.

I open all of mine as soon as I get them home. Most of the time, I will have watched the ones I bought within a couple of days. There are some exceptions like when I've bought several at a time. Like this week, where I bought the Batman Anthology (4 movies), Transporter 3 and Pinicchio. So far I've watched 2 of the Batman movies and Pinicchio.

I do have around 50 or so movies in my collection that I haven't watched yet though. Some are documentaries/special interests or movies that I have to be in a certain mood to watch and some are catalog releases where I've seen the movie lots of times and just haven't gotten around to watching the blu-ray version of it yet.
