I know it will never happen, but what would it take all these years later for the Alex Proyas & crew commentary plus the Proyas/Schow third of the making-of doc that were dropped from the original CE DVD to be added back to the extras for a Blu-ray release SOMEWHERE in the world? Australia - Proyas' home turf? US - Miramax are in enough financial trouble they can sell the home vid rights to someone else and give them all the extras, let them get one with it? Canada or Germany? PLEASE....?

Ah well.

Quick question - how much of a noted improvement is the video over the signature series DVD?

thanks.

Like most BDs compared to DVDs, it's a pretty big jump. Much more picture detail. The only issue is that there is quite a bit of grain, but I believe that's what the director intended.

the grain doesn't bother me, I just remember watching the DVD last hallloween and certain parts were just plain bad - hard to discern.

I'm interested in taking the leap as this movie reminds me of a simpler time in my life but I'd like a US release.

Dammit, this thing's quite expensive but i ordered it anyway. I was a big fan of Brandon Lee & was very sad when he passed away as he had so much potential. Even visited his & his father's grave site in Seattle a couple of times before.

I was able to check out my copy last night and I agree. The movie is very dark, but it looks noticeably better on Blu-ray. A worthy purchase.

The pic posted by the OP of the original film is the actual cover. Not sure about Wicked Prayer (didn't order it) but chances are that pic is accurate too.
