This is the only good movie Sandler is in, at least as far as him not doing his usual stupid guy schtick. That said I thought this was a terrific film!

I wouldn't recommend this as a blind buy. I bought it on DVD and was disappointed that I paid so much for it back then. Just my 2 cents... rent first imo.

The movie is not for everyone. If you are expecting the typical humor from Sandler in this film then do not blind buy it. It is a Sandler drama which I really enjoy. This film is one of my favorites.

the soundtrack of this movie is amazing... Jon Brion did an amazing job on this like everything else he did like ''Synecdoche, New York'' , ''Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind '' etc...

the movie all around is pretty cool... Sandler is indeed cool to watch other than stupid movies he usually does...

Along with this, Reign Over Me was also a great Sandler drama for those saying Punch-Drunk Love is the only one.

Man I wish they would quit dragging their feet with this one... This is perhaps one of my favorite Sandler movies and I am a huge Sandler fan too...

Please be this year, at least give me a solid confirmed date and not some rumors that get my hopes up like they have been doing with Pulp Fiction on BR

If it makes you feel any better it's available on Netflix streaming in glorious Artifact Vision with state of the art 192 kbps 2 channel DD.

I had a retrospective of Boogie Nights (perfect), Magnolia (excellent) and There Will Be Blood (flawless!), but felt weird skipping PDL!

I think you're talking about REIGN OVER ME. And I agree.

I disagree about PUNCH DRUNK LOVE -- he's very good in it. It's not a strictly serious role, more like a role you'd see in Wes Anderson movie.

Personally, PUNCH DRUNK LOVE is one of only two Paul Thomas Anderson films I like.
