taint your a** and taint your balls.

I've heard chode used to mean three different things by the way, this being the third. I won't go further than that.

It's a pretty good show. Sure the effects are a little corny (of course, you could always pick the new CGI effects version), but the stories and characters are great. Highly recommended.

I preordered the set Saturday. It shipped today from someplace 8 hours away, which I hope means I'll have the set this week. I can't wait to read the Blu-Ray.com review (Already read three other reviews, but I like the reviews on this site).

I just bought this set: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Star-...lu-ray/154007/

I don't see the first version pilot, "The Cage", on the track listing on the inside cover.

Is that episode available anywhere on Blu?

Last disc of season 3, I believe. You've got it.

seamless branching but check out the enhanced effect, looks awesome.

unrestored vs restored

edit: I did a search and didn't find anything on this so...
I have owned these on Blu-ray since 2010. I like them better than I do the 2006 DVDs, which were the first home media releases of the remastered versions of Star Trek: TOS.

At least on this one, we have both versions of the SFX shots, plus better subtitle options.

I may be one of the few, but I don't like the new SFX shots for the ship(s). They don't blend with the rest of the show. They should've used ship models.

The rest of the new effects blend nicely (e.g. planets on the viewscreen), but some original effects are quite good too and could've been kept.

Well, that's the beauty of the Blu-ray version. You can choose to watch the episodes with the original 1960s SFX shots.

To each his/her own. I prefer the newer effects. I have seen the older ones since 1970 or so, and I honestly like the more modern, more detailed, and more dynamic effects. That's just me, though.

Yeah. It's in the Season Three set's last disc as a Bonus Feature.
