I found the camera made CT on PS2 completely unplayable.

the controls in the original RE's were atrocious...I could never get over the box steering...

Sony needs to bring some survival horrors to the PSN.

I liked Siren 2 the most actually. It did get a bit confusing firugring what to do to progress the game (you were jumping timelines and characters all the time. And visibility wise it was better than Siren Blood Curse. I am near stuck on episode 11 of siren with the darkness levels and frustration of tasks. It is hard work and near running blind.

Strangely enough, I actually came to really LIKE the tank controls on RE.

The gameplay felt a rushed and untested aspect of Clock Tower. Not just the camera, but the stalkers showed up way too often with insufficient ways to get rid of them and do a decent investigation. That's why I lost patience and busted out the codebreaker. I've no issues "cheating" single-player games especially considering I've a shelf of titles waiting for my attention.

Still, it was worth it to me to play the game through to witness more of the spooky-dangers and see the rest of the story.

What I really want is a Fatal Frame game for PS3. I've been playing FFIV on the Wii, but the controls are a bit awkward.
Thx, maybe Ill try it sometime. I just hope someone makes a decent survival horror game this year and next.......

I'm so desperate for Survival Horror, I'm actually playing Fatal Frame for the first time on my 60gb PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone has any other Survival Horror Game suggestions for PS2 or PS3 please let me knowwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Anything except for Resident Evil, it's been played out, unless they make new ones with zombies.

I need to get that Siren game for PS3.

Should I look for Fatal Frame 2 & 3?

I still think Silent Hill 2 is the scariest game ever!

Weird, there's also Silent Hill: Shattered Memories coming in Q4 '09, but only for the PS2, PSP and WII. http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/s...result;title;3

For survival horror or generally spooky games:

There's the Silent Hills, 1-4, along with Origins and Homecoming.

Definitely look for Fatal Frames 2-3; I know I plan on it.

Haunting Ground, Clock Tower Series.

Thx Musashi, Ill definately get Fatal Frame 2-3 and have most of the Silent Hill ones, will find the rest.

Holy crappers!

Anyone tried this survival horror game (Imabikisou) on the PS3? It's Japanese.

Trailer looks great. http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/i...result;title;0

There's also a Silent Hill 1 remake (Silent Hill: Shattered memories) coming late in the year, but only on Wii and PS2? Lucky I got the 60gb PS3. http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/s...result;title;1

And SAW also tlater this year http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/s...result;title;0

Anyone liked Alone in the Dark? Worth buying for a couple of bucks? Why cant they make a game like The Ring! or Friday the 13th-texas chanisaw, so many horror themes!!

Imabikisou's a visual/sound novel, doubt many would be interested here even if there's a translation.

Whatever you do STAY AWAY from Shellshock 2: Blood Trails.

Claiming to be survival horror, the only thing you have to survive is the poor controls and the half-ass game they put together. Graphics look incomplete, major bugs throughout, awful aiming, poor storyline.
It sounds very tempting to try out, who doesn't want to battle zombies during the Vietnam war. I rented it, and it was probably the worst rental choice i've made so far this year.

Imabikisou

Looks boring, and it's entirely a choose your own adventure novel. You read everything, no real game play.
Check out this kind of funny video of someone playing it.

That was ROFL, true, not sure how the guy is playing it with japanese chars. Yeah, I had also noticed Shellshock had a low rating, thoese are the same morons who are supposedly making AVP3.

Damn, need some survival horror, help!

That quote didnt rule out DS2 being on the PS3. All it said basically was the Wii game is NOT a continuation of DS1, but a prequel. Therefore its clearly not DS2.

I just started playing Fatal Frame and all I have to say is WOW, it amazes me how great this game still is, some pretty scary scenes, whereas Silent Hill scares the crapa out of you by being disgusting most of the time, this one creeps you out with the atmo, sounds, and well timed ghost/creeper movements. Excellent game, Definately ordering Fatal Frame 2 & 3 now

Although the scene in the first deserted appartment building in Silent Hill 2 is still the scariest stuff I've ever seen in a game, (I've shut down the game since 2003, cant even play Silent Hill 3-4 because of it, even though I bought them, lol) I have a feeling some scenes in the Fatal Frame Series may surpass that one, I'm still only in Act 2 of the first game so plenty of gaming left..

God Bless my 60GB PS3 also.

There's a pricedrop now/tomorrow on SIREN: Blood Curse from the PlayStation Store.

Quote:
In coordination with this [PlayStation Home] space launch and event, the PlayStation Store will be offering a special sale on the full game and the episode bundles. The full game is now only $29.99, and each of the 3 episode bundles is only $10.99. So now’s the time to head over to the store and pick up the game if you haven’t already, or to snatch up those last remaining episodes to complete your collection. There’s even a demo available on the PS Store, so you can try it out before you buy it.

I think Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly has the best story out of the Fatal Frame games. It's about twin sisters, Mio and Mayu, who get spirited away to a lost village, where a ritual took place that went horribly wrong. Since the ritual, the village has been enshrouded in a thick fog, it's perpetually night, and the ghosts of the villagers wander about. To restore the village, a successful ritual is required, but it seems the ritual always involves twins, with one twin killing the other. This game drips atmosphere, and instead of being confined to a single location (like a mansion), you have a whole village to explore. Each house in the village belonged to a certain family, and each family has its own sad history. As the story plays out, you begin to really get concerned about the fate of the main characters.

Fatal Frame 2 will knock your socks off..its by far, THE scariest game I have ever played. I had to stop playing it. The only time I had to play games was after my wife went to bed at around 10pm, and, I just couldn't play this game alone in the dark..it was too much.

I never got around to getting #3..I was in an in between system limbo when it was released....I wish Tecmo would just release a boxset with all three of them...the used prices of those games is just ridiculous.

Ha, I get the same feeling after 10Pm I get all kinds of creeped out, I can imagine how it's going to be with FF2

Tecmo should make a FF5 or release the number 4 on PS3! Survival horror is just too much fun!
