I believe that Rampage is next in line for a title shot at 205. Forrest and A. Silva are fighting eachother later this year I think at 205, so neither of them will get a title shot for a while. I think Machida is very hard to take down based on his sumo and wrestling training. He is also a BJJ blackbelt I believe. He will be tough to beat, but eventually someone will.

Ya he is fighting the 7 foot korean dude in DREAM. He most likely get destroyed, hell he couldn't even handle Danny Bonaducci and got whooped in the ring by Vai Sikahema.

Canseco vs. Sikahema was funny, but Sikahema had at least some sort of training, AND was a professional football player. Conseco is just a bodybuilder/baseball player. Hardly an appropriate matchup. I'd venture a guess to say most pro ball players wouldn't stand much of a chance against a pro football player. Just a guess, really, but I'd probably put money on the NFL guy just about every time.

I might end up at the UFC fan expo in July. I have a bunch of friends going and it would be cool to meet a bunch of the fighters.

Anyone watch the Strikeforce card last night? I don't have Showtime, so I couldn't, but was reaaly interested in the Diaz vs Smith fight. As much of a cocky ass as Diaz is, I find his fights very entertaining and usually root for him.

Can't wait for the WEC card tonight with Brown vs Faber II and another Pulver fight.

So, Lesner or Mir? What do you guys think?

I think if Lesner can keep distance and get one big takedown with a full mount he will win. If he is in the guard he's going to be put into a submission.

Mir is going to go for the tapout for sure. There's no other way for him to take him down unless Brock has a glass jaw we don't know about yet. *cough*Kimbo Slice*cough*

I think Brock has a pretty good jaw(he took some shots form Randy) and he should smear Mir.

I would rather see Mir win though

Diaz was fantastic and very impressive, Arlovsky was so disappointing. even my wife was like "he should just quit".

the showtime event was pretty good. showtime is worth it for me just for Dexter and MMA. they show a bunch of mma and boxing too.

Was Diaz taunting Smith throughout the fight? How'd it end?

Anyone watch Faber vs Brown II on Sunday?

Great fight! I was rooting for Brown to defend the belt and he dominated Faber imo.

I like Mike Brown more and more every time I see him fight.
I watch every UFC event and I think I actually prefer the WEC shows. Those small guys fight fast and hard.

I'd have to say Lesnar.

He's had some time to learn from his mistakes at the first fight, and IMO, Mir got a bit lucky, Lesnar let up for a split second and Mir was able to capitalize. Had Lesnar been able to shift slightly and get out of the lock, he would have pulverized Mir in the first fight.

Yeah Diaz was taunting and delivering a lot of damage to the face and body, then he ended it with a rear naked choke. Smith got beat up and Diaz was too quick for Smih's punches.

Faber Brown 2 was good but "I'm not impressed by Brown's performance."

faber broke his hand in the first round, badly. I was suprised Brown couldn't capitalize on a handless Faber aside from a few takedowns.

The GSP vs BJ fight would be alot better if BJ didn't live up to his name on a daily basis.

The guy got beat down and then turns around to complain about it.

And I agree with Dana White on it, all the grease in the world wouldn't have kept BJ from getting punched in the face as much as he did.

And BJ proves all the people who don't like him {like me} right in the fact that he is just an overconfident hack who doesn't have it when the time comes.

I think the Lesnar Mir fight will be better than ppl think.

What do you think about this weekends card? Anyone excited for the fights from Germany? Seems like kindof a filler card to me. Silva/Franklin would have been exciting a few years ago.
