I'm glad to see there is finally a dedicated owners thread for Monitor Audio speakers. Although I don't personally own Monitor Audio speakers, it is one of my favorite speaker lines, and I have recommended and installed them for friends a lot. For the $$$, they offer fantastic sound detail, fit and finish that often outperforms speakers that cost a lot more.

If I ever become unhappy with my speakers, which I love, Monitor Audio at this moment is on deck as the replacement. There are a lot of great speakers used around here, but I think Monitor Audio speaker are too often overlooked in favor of a couple of econo brands (you know who they are). Hopefully, more people will actually try them out now.

Where can i demo these??? Im trying to decide on my tower speakers right now and i have heard most of what i wanted to test out but these. So far the Paradigm Monitor 11 have killed anything i have heard but i really want to hear the Monitor Audio RS8's. I absolutely love the black finish. I live in Detroit if anyone knows of any shops please let me know. Thanks

A response from Monitor Audio on Toe-In.

To toe or not to toe is very much a room dependant setup choice. Typically you can narrow the sound stage and get more definition by toeing the speakers in. However this may also compress the sound stage if moved to far. I can only suggest that you play with the amount of toe in utilized (usually 0 – 15 degrees ) and allow your ears to judge the best placement.

Edit: Oh, and still loving the speakers! Hopefully will have my RSLCR in about a month!

I think I am putting off the surrounds for a bit in favor of a turntable.

Well, don't let alcohol influence you, but I have woke up broke and spent the money on way stupider things. I would guarantee no buyers remorse here though. My RS6's make me smile everyday.
