Typical boring cast with Sony trying hard to be hip instead of worrying about a good adaptation.

also Snicket's schtick is so tired. She perpetuates the sexist posts.

To everyone that has no problem with Johnny being black, I wonder how everyone would react if Luke Cage was played by a white actor? Serious question.

I hope it fails big time simply because I love the Annihilators and want the Silver Surfer back at Marvel . Also it is always a great time when Thor and Silver Surfer come to blows .

Fantastic Four isn't one of my favorite comic properties so I have no strong opinions on this change. But I feel fans have the right to speak out against this since this major change was only made because the director had a hard on with casting his buddy in the film. Josh Trank doesn't realize this isn't some small 20 million dollar flick like Chronicle. He's playing in the big leagues now with a blockbuster budget and adapting something with a built in fanbase. That's a big responsibility that goes beyond getting your friends a gig, and going as far as changing a well known characters race in order to make it happen.

With the filmmakers having such disregard for the source material, I cannot imagine this being a success other than as a tax write-off, and as a way to extend the licensing.

I actually love the cast. I am actually excited to see Michael B. Jordan. I don't think I could see any other "popular" actor portray a role like this. After seeing him in Chronicle and Fruitvale Station, I think he has a big future.

Had Miles Teller been casted as Human Torch and Michael B. Jordan as The Thing, not only would that hush most of the backlash, it would have also matched their personalities better.

Just found this poll on the casting. Looks like "What a revoltin' development! Wrong choices all around" has the most votes by a substantial amount.

I am fine with Mara and Jordan .
Those two get a a pass but the other two do not belong. I dont really care much about the FF anyways but this just makes me care less.
I will hope for the best movie possible but I really doubt I will end up seeing this theatrically

Did they just pick people at random for these roles? Because it really looks like it.

This is shaping up to be one terrible POS. Which is right in line with all the other FF movies, so business as usual I suppose.

Miles Teller is also the most overrated new upcomer I've seen in quite some time.

Headline: Anyone remember that terrible adaptation of The Last Airbender? Well, move over M. Night Shyamalan; Josh Trank commits career suicide with second film!

I liked Akira... uh... I mean, Chronicle... I did... but I'm not so sure this was the right guy to helm The Fantastic Four.

Kate Mara is saying that Trank thinks outside the box -- unfortunately most fans want what was in the box and they are sadly being denied.

Which is very sad, considering that historically speaking FF is one of the 3 major teams in the Marvel Comic Universe with the Avengers and The X-Men.

Let us hope that -if- this movie is as bad as everyone is starting to think it will end up being, Fox will then consider an early release (perhaps even selling back the rights to Marvel/ Disney).

Imo, The FF comic has some of the best vilains in the entire Marvel catalog (Galactus, Annihilus, Doom, Namor, Kang/ Immortus, Living Pharaoh, Skrulls/ Super Skrull, Mephisto, Molecule Man, Ronan...)

I don't know what you mean by that since Aronofsky never did a superhero film. But I do love his movies and can see why he might have been an interesting consideration at one time for Batman Year One.

He was signed up for The Wolverne (which could have been way intresting and cool) but drooped out. Creative differences I think.
