Yup... it's quite amazing how quickly this collection can creep up on a person. I started off saying that I would only ever need that first purchase of a Christopher Reeve Superman 1/6th Scale Figure. Now I have 7 with 1 on order and and I'm eyeballing a $689 USD vehicle that would cost me nearly $1000 CDN to actually acquire at current exchange rates.

And a good one at that. WWE merchandising has always been HUGE bank for both the "company" and the performers. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a standard clause that restricts any type of figurine likeness to be made of them. Perhaps it is even worded to the extent that any likeness in figurine would have to give all profit to WWE and the performer? That would keep any company from investing the time/energy involved in making any figures based on any character he ever plays outside of WWE. It's the only thing that really makes sense given the popularity of both franchises.

Sideshow had 50% back in April 1st for select figures. Otherwise its usually the occasional 20% off, $20 off, or the $15-$25 promotional gift card. And even then those offers are for select figures.

Those % off codes are only ever apply to items that either aren't selling or are down to a few left in stock. It's never a "take % off anything you want on the site." And they are always items that have been available for a long time. So, the most popular items often don't get the discount treatment.

As for using the code? It should be a universal code, not unique usage code. It's to celebrate Official Geek Day.

I ended up getting the Iron Man 3 Tony Stark: The Mechanic figure. Looking at the prices for an actual full-armored Iron Man, I can definitely say I'll never buy one, so this will be the closest I'll get. In addition to the 20% off with GEEKDAY15, there were two added bonuses that included free shipping AND $30.00 in rewards.

I'm aware. Lol. I'm thinking the Batman ones I want are completely out of reach, though. I'll be watching those like a hawk on eBay to see if any come down.

If Maleficent is only eligible for one of the above codes, I'm guessing it'll be around a while. There's many Buy-it-Now eBay listings that are hovering right around Sideshow's price, too, so I'm not too worried.
