if they having issues finding good prints of the missing scenes I would be happy for them to just use the edition on 88 films disc and add the missing footage as a extra. At least then they have it included.

The 88 Films has a few extra scene extensions, but nothing crucial, from what I recall. Still, though, it would be cool to have the most complete version available in the highest quality possible.

One cut scene can be seen here at 1:05:30:
On the Code Red Blu Ray you can't see that the killer gets behind the kid and grabs him. |

So possibly this internegative that they’re using is in bad shape or is a version that was used to make a dupe negative for a market where the film was cut? I think these are the possibilities for why supplemental prints are being sought.

It seems they are still searching for a good print so there is nothing to update really...

Like the sound of Night Terror, after checking it out on the IMDb (an anthology horror film, consisting of three stories).

IIRC the movie looked like it was shot on video. If that is the case, there's no HD source. Some companies might be crazy enough to try, but if you've ever seen the 'Slasher Video' SOV blu-rays, you'd know it's a pointless endeavor.
That said, it's only a guess on my part. It's been at least twenty years since I watched it so I couldn't say for sure. I just remember it had that SOV look to it. |

That said, I'm glad they aren't going for HD. I've seen a couple companies try to transfer tape to HD and the results are... not good. Heck, I watched one last night; but that's a topic for another company's thread ![]() |

Also, if the company does it properly the results should be the same or better than DVD. |
