Huh? I assumed these folks bought the initial Blu-ray then the iTunes copy to complement that. Warner just had Apple add the Black & Chrome edition to the already available list of extras.

Looks like the $240 edition of this is in stock and ready to ship on Amazon. It list today's date as the release date and shows as an in-stock item whereas the High Octane collection and the Black & Chrome edition still show as preorders for 12/6. I'm kind of tempted but I know I'd regret it, especially since I only planned on getting B&C.

I already have the German steelbook car set, but might be a player on this US set if it receives a nice price drop. I'd dust off the old air brush kit and paint the car totall chrome. Sure it's a bit excessive but having both those type of statues on the shelf would be pretty damn cool.

Interesting. I hadn't seen the listing for the Amazon exclusive version before. It's essentially the collection I wanted. But nearly an extra $200 just for that car model?!

Bingo. I never bought the initial release because I knew this release was coming but I did want it on iTunes to watch until the BLACK & CHROME edition was finally coming. And yet, with one update, I technically don't need to do that now for this.

Is there an Ultraviolet partner that offers extras that may include the B&C similarly to how the iTunes copy now does? I checked Flixster and Vudu to see if anything had been added to my old UV copy that came from the 3D release, but no luck.
