I don't get the dislike for third episode, I enjoyed it way more than the second one. It was a fun adventure away from the usual TVA bureaucracy.

This,

I'm a little disappointed as the trailers gave the impression that this was going to be a fun, time-hopping series with a grand story. It's a little bit of a bait and switch to have a much smaller scale story. It's far better than FATWS but nowhere near as good as WV...yet

I'm willing to keep watching until the end but I was hoping for more. If this was episode 3 of say..10, then I wouldn't be worried. But we're already halfway through and it only feels like we're getting started.

'Hiding something' within the moment of an apocalyptic event. It's not a clone of the BBC show; they're not identical. But there are so many similarities that it can't be a coincidence.
Yep. This episode was DrWho in all but name. That's no bad thing and just makes me want the yanks to have a proper stab at DrWho even more! LOL

I remember this being sold as “Forrest Gump with Loki” in terms of his mischievous behavior impacting key events throughout history.

I’ve yet to see any of that.

This show isn't a multi season sitcom. It's supposed to be tightly woven story, a movie told in six parts. You didn't address what I asked... We spent an hour with the primary antagonist and learned NOTHING. No goals, no motivations...

OK, we learned she knew she was adopted.

Looking forward to Wednesday though, it's still a good show overall.

Let's call it a movie. And you just hit the halfway point.

This is like coming into a movie thread, saying you watched some of it, but really hated a scene. And cry that it didn't answer all of your questions.

I'm 90% sure a lot of these comments will look dumb in 3 weeks. Also, that comment didn't reply to you, not sure why you're demanding answers to questions.

This is to everyone: Check your expectations! I had no idea what to expect from this show, and I'm not disappointed in the slightest. I haven't (intentionally) watched the trailers or read any pieces before hand. Maybe that's something people need to do more of

I'm not "demanding" anything, this is a discussion board.

Person A:

Here's what I thought wrong with this episode

Person B:

Not sure why people aren't liking this episode

I'll stop now and will try not to comment again until the show is over unless it's a "Hurray, great show!"

First and foremost, I was highly entertained, so there's that.

The biggest thing we learned is the TVA workers weren't created by the Time Keepers as Mobius told Loki. Sylvie says they're also variants.

Sometimes the thrill is the journey. Seeing them hop on an alien trains as the planet is destroyed is fun to watch. Also, the interaction between Loki and Sylvie is needed character building. Scenes in later episodes will have more impact because of this experience they are sharing. They know each other now. They have a history.

That's a really weird statement to make to someone who wasn't replying to you.

What I learned in Ep 3 (with some assumptions):

[Show spoiler]Sylvie is extremely motivated to meet the Time keepers. I'm assuming for murder. Her whole plan so far was to distract the TVA to get to them.

She's not a super evil Loki variant she has a soft side

She hates the TVA with a passion and knows a lot about their inner workings.
I'm assuming she was a variant that was targeted, and possibly kidnapped to be made into some agent...possibly at a young age

Loki has some more powers we were not aware of. I actually think he still has the time stone and it works outside the TVA, but that's a very loose conspiracy I have.

We learned definitively that the TVA agents are variants that were mind wiped.

So to tell people they learned nothing when there was that (and more) means you just gotta pay more attention to the show, and just because it's not a show-breaking plot point, doesn't mean it's not important

And I will never dissuade any sort of conversation, good or bad about media..just look at me in the Halloween Kills thread...But there is a such thing as Good Faith and Bad Faith arguments... I consider trashing the series when we only have half the story bad faith. Just IMO

Got curious, so I investigated a little further. The Loki showrunner and writer Michael Waldron worked on the animated sci-fi series Rick & Morty, which credits such IPs as Doctor Who and Back To The Future as inspirations.

Oh such a good episode, it provided a lot of answers, but be sure to not miss the short post credit video. Yes there is one!

OMG that was crazy insane, utterly unbelievable.... not being so knowledgeable about the comics, I had to
[Show spoiler]look at the credits to make sure I knew who Richard E Grant is playing....

Definitely a good one but like,
[Show spoiler]what happened with all the timeline resets? Did I miss something? Not a fan of the Loki/Sylvie stuff either but we'll see how it goes. I'm not as enamoured with Wilson/Mobius as some are (he's fine, just not as ah-mazing for me) but when he got pruned I was like, oh shit. Then Loki got pruned at the end and I was like, ah he'll be fine. Reminds me of when Bucky was the first to get dusted in IW and I was freaking because I love him, then T'Challa did and I was like, well he's too big to stay dead so it's all good.

Really enjoyed this overall, was awesome seeing Sif again and I've been assuming the Timekeepers were bullshit forever but they almost got me with that scene at the beginning in thinking they'd tricked me and they actually were real. I'm glad they seem to be going in a different direction from my assumptions since I like being surprised, and B15 turning on them and saving Loki and Sylvie was great. Bring on next week!

Well that didn’t take long. I said something big would be revealed in next couple episodes and yeah it was. Great episode. I think those unhappy with the last episode should be happy with this one.

So many great moments:

[Show spoiler]Sif!
Vampires!
Mobius getting pruned right after Loki admitting he was a friend.
B-15's turn.
The Timekeeper's Wizard of Oz moment.
Loki getting pruned.
The Richard E. Grant end credit scene!

So this has got to be
[Show spoiler]KANG
now right?

Definitely a step up from last week, still feels like the show is trapped in busy work mode but it did amp up the dramatic stakes a little and lean into it’s concept more (a slight shame
[Show spoiler]the after credit scene seemed to quickly retcon what appears to have come before, although where it’s heading looks like a lot of fun)
.

Still hoping this is able to deliver but with two episodes left I’m getting worried this is another “extended Marvel movie” and with a bit more careful plotting all this could have been done in a 2+ Hour film instead of a six week series.

I felt a lot of pain from
[Show spoiler]Mobius' proning, but not Loki, because, well, we've been there before, lol.

Otherwise, a strong episode with emotional depth.

Funny you say all of that in your spoiler tag because that's exactly what comes out of episode 4.
