Hey guys, I've ran into a problem lately with my new Denon 3313. Sometimes when I turn on the avr to watch tv it will not find the hdmi signal. I'll have to turn the receiver's zone 2 on and off to get a signal on to my main zone. It will also happen sometimes when I exit off a blu-ray or netflix from my ps3. Thanks for any help.

You may get more info here from jdsmoothie, but generally the first plan of action is to reset the processor. Write down your setting so you can manually enter them as resetting the processor will put things back to factory specs. There's lots to go through... |

I have a 3312CI.
Im currently running RCA cords to my flatscreen from a VCR. What cords/cables do i need to get VCR audio through the Denon? And should I be connecting it to the AUX? I only get sound from the TV speakers and I have a 5.1 set up. Bluray/Cable TV/Airplay(HDMI) work fine. |

I also have the 3312CI. You need 2 RCA CABLES, RED AND WHITE AND A VIDEO CABLE, YELLOW. I use better ones, since I already had them, but cheap ones will do, they don't have to be the right colour; VCR hooked to any unused input. Be sure to use the video scaling feature.

I have a question about the Dialogue Audio Level & Subwoofer Level. I currently have both set to +6dB, Is it ok to have them max out at +12dB and then just adjust the sub volume on the sub and master volume accordingly?
I guess what I really want to know is this hurt the system in anyway? I assume no as it allows you to do so in the settings, but I wanted to know from someone in the know. With my old cheapo HTIB I set everything to max and just adjusting the master volume accordingly. It is what I feel like doing with this system, but I want to know how to use it the proper way. thanks blurayjunkie |

The proper way is to use Audyssey, if your model has that software, or to use an SPL meter to match the levels of all channels at the listening position. But, no you won't hurt anything doing what you ask.

I have read that basic connection support has been reduced over the years (S-Video, component, composite, etc...)
1. I am also very concerned about making sure there is still upscaling support for my component and composite connections; is this an issue? I currently have a Denon AVR-1910. I have been happy with it, but I am thinking about upgrading to a 2312ci or 2313ci. but I cannot find a comparison chart that goes over those changes between what I currently have and what an upgraded receiver would offer. I have the following to connect... Blu-ray player - Oppo BDP-83 Game System - Nintendo Wii (Component), Game System - Gamecube (Component), Game System - 8-bit Nintendo (Composite or S-Video - I can't remember) DVD player - Panasonic (HDMI) 5.0 speaker setup (currently no sub but will have one in the future) Computer - Apple iMac (early 2009) Phones - 2 Apple iphones - 4s and 4 Tablet - iPad3 Would the new receiver support all of my connections? Any other recommendations? Are there any big gains or losses that I would experience by switching? I would be really appreciative of any insight and guidance I could get! |

Hey guys, I've ran into another problem with my avr-3313ci. I was watching 2 blu-rays last night and I noticed audio dropouts on both of them. They both lasted for less than a sec. It also happens sometimes on my dish network. I do not think its the hdmi's because they are both pretty much new. I also have a problem with the avr losing signal when I first turn on the avr to watch dish, or when I exit out of netflix or a blu-ray to go back to the ps3 menu. I'll have to go from one input to another to get it to come back on. Thanks for the help.
