Awesome pre-order price of $11.86. Glad I held off on buying the UK release.
Hmm, cool. Never heard of this before, but an early 90's movie with Viggo in it does sound intriguing. Thanks for the find!

I've noticed this title is always showing when I select new deals and it seems to move up or down by a few cents at least once each day!

Seems strange that Amazon would do this, anyone think this is odd too?

By the way the reviews are terrible for this movie and the price is terrible also.
Thanks for mentioning that title. I've been absolutely dying to mention that turd floating at the top of the list for many many months, must be around a year now. Even when our $ was fairly stable, stably bad that is, so it's not because of the exchange rate.

I always assumed it was amazon playing the system to keep crud they wanted to get rid of in view on forums like this that follow prices. There used to be lots of titles like that, some would go up and down by a few cents, or a large number of $, multiple times a day. Need a better filter as to what counts as a "deal". At least when we had the graphs you could get a good idea of what's really going on.

I was beginning to wonder if they were doing an experiment to see if people would buy that turd biscuit because it was pushed to the top of the heap every few hours.

Oh well, I guess I just have to ignore it every time it pops up at the top of the new deals list!

Bride of Re-Animator and The Stuff are $36 on Amazon. Arrow releases. Decent deal, same price as the US site which is good with our crap dollar.

$36 + tax for one movie is a decent deal? Wow. That's insane.

Smile Mork & Mindy Complete Series (DVD) - $27.99

It's not a Blu Ray deal, but if you're a Robin Williams fan, Amazon's deal of the day is Mork & Mindy Complete Series on DVD for $27.99: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00N...1&s=dvd&sr=1-1

Na nu, na nu!

I got The Stuff from Arrow for 8 pounds (around $17) last August. It is region B locked but with all the international releases these days everyone should have a region free player.

If you get around to watching this, give us an update on how you liked it.

I've only heard terrible reviews so far. Mostly that's it's just another crappy Canadian made movie, funded with a lot of Canadian tax dollars.

But I would be interested to hear what you think of it when you watch it.

Default Hobbit 3D Trilogy on amazon.ca DOTD

I don't own any of these movies, and to get these for $35 shipped to the USA is a good deal to me!

It must be selling like hotcakes. Earlier this morning, it was available and didn't mention "Only ___ left in stock - order soon" at all. I know it's still honored but it must be a great deal. I wouldn't know since I'm not that big of a fan for LotR and TH. I've seen them all and most were good (I thought the last TH was more rushed ergo the weakest of the films) but I'm not sure if I'd view them again. I'm older now.

I almost bought this trilogy over boxing week, but stopped my purchase when someone on these message boards recommended to buy the Extended Edition 3D Trilogy. Unfortunate Amazon.ca doesn't have it, only available in UK or US, however found out today that Costco does. There website shows the Extended Edition 3D Trilogy for $95 almost at par with the US @ Amazon.com. I think I am going to bite the bullet and pickup a copy next time I am there.

Unless someone here recommends the standard Trilogy on 3D for $37, Thoughts?

The dishwashing scene must last an hour in the extended version

For some reason amazon.ca doesn't sell the non-3D versions of the theatrical or extended Hobbit trilogies. As someone who doesn't have a 3D Tv I really have no interest in a 3D box set.

I saw it at the Edmonton International Film Festival and I thought it was very mediocre. Not the worst thing I've ever seen, but very uninspiring and cliched. I'm not sure who keeps giving Paul Gross the money to direct these movies - I would rather see those tax dollars go to a more talented director like Xavier Dolan.

I'm the same I have no need or interest in any 3-D movie, but I bought this set and sold the 3-D copies for $15.00. I got a good deal and my friend got a good deal on the 3-D copies, I also gave away the DVD copies to another friend.

A lot of people can own a copy if you buy this set and it is a good deal right now!

I wouldn't want an extended version of any of these movies though, holy crap they are already way too long with battle scene after battle scene!

I found the 3D Extended movies in a video store clearout for $6.00 CDN each, so at that price, I could not resist.
