A Wasted Opportunity - Watching Jurassic World again...Enjoying it. Thought the 3D could have been a bit stronger.

Anyway, up to the 1:20 mark where a pterodactyl is shot down and sliding towards the two kids...It's shot is from the back and slight side...Why the hell didn't they do it from the front with the pointed beak coming at the camera and an out of the screen pop out (ala the Despicable Me spaceship spike). A truly missed opportunity IMO...Ahh well...so be it...

Anyone else but me wish there was a conversion of J Park 2 (tent and t-Rex scene) & 3 (parachute & flying pterodactyl scenes) blus? Would love to see both converted rightly...Just my 2 cents...

Probably cuz they were concentrating on making a movie instead of a Disneyland ride.

And that is where they made their mistake. This movie was already done before, with a much better story, characters, acting and script. It was called Jurassic Park. If they were going to redo it, make it a ride. Dinosaurs poking their heads into the audience -- who could ask for more. I guarantee you, there would have been screaming and laughing by both children and adults.

Default Everest

Watched Everest and wished I hadn't. The 3d was medium like everything these days but the worst part was how depressing it was. I can be depressed by real life, thank you very much, I don't need to be "entertained" with it.

I was ready to order this but waited. Good thing I did because Pan was on HBO last night. I watched it and thought it was very good. Now I just checked on demand for Pan and they have it in 3d! I will be watching that later on today on Comcast.

watched...

Dragons, the Creature ,& Kaiju , oh my.

I love both movies. The 3D is really good in both but Dragons 2 is a vast improvement on the 3D presentation with pop outs, camera/view angles and depth. I am seriously looking forward to Dragons 3 when it comes out in 2018.

Order a few 3D movies off Amazon to hit the free shipping mark.

Ordered: Yogi Bear 3D, Open Season 3D, Monster House 3D, Smurfs 2 3D.

I had a few bucks in credits, so it was around $51. Hoping for some slipcovers (long shot).

I doubt any of these are great movies, but according to many the 3D should be very good.

Monster House is a pretty decent movie. It has a short reference to Creature From the Black Lagoon too. Haven't seen Smurfs but Yogi and Open Season were tough to sit through despite some great popouts.

Only yogi and smurfs came with slips, odds are in favor of smurfs having one though.

Watched: Exoddus gods and kings.

Very good movie with stunning picture quality and an awesome soundtrack.

3D quality was very good with great depth. Not much pop up at all though but still very enjoyable.

Agreed. That movie was beautifully shot. The plagues and 'sea parting' were amazing.
Was also a dam good movie. Don't know why it got so much hate.

Oh, I'd be totally OK with slips for Yogi and Smurfs 2 only.

Was Yogi a lenticular? That cover looks like it would have alot of pop.

Yes it is, has some nice layers but doesn't really pop out, unlike Monsters Inc where the door looks like its protruding off the slip.
