Yo Demon you want me to take out the garbage around here to earn my title shot?

Let's have a round robin , me against the guys that give you the most trouble, frakkin toastah and bipflop, i carve those two up I get a title shot ok.

Also , when should we expect Dead Pit?

That's a great idea but you need a pro wrestling handle. How about Macho Man Maghen. I think that would be fitting. For sure if you can work your way up through the ranks with guys like frakkin totastah and bipflop you could be assured a main event title shot.

As for other Dark Force main event DEAD PIT, it should be here next week. The release has been replicated they are just doing the finishing touches on the very complex custom slipcover. We will have one of them here to show everybody any day now.

That will be coming in early July and will be our biggest and best Drive-in release to date. Will also be part of the Custom Collector's Edition with an incredible looking slipcover which will be 3D emboss and Glow in the Dark.

Yeah but they're also not Dorado who will take pre-orders several months in advance and then still deliver a sub-par product. Sounds like production is pretty close so even if they don't give an exact date it'd probably be less than a month. With pre-orders, at least they can prepare for shipping ahead of time instead of dealing with orders/shipping all at once.

DF would save themselves - and their customers - a lot of angst if they would offer pre-orders.

The only trouble with pre-orders comes from the customers. For an established store like VS, a store that not only has a pretty good fix on who we all are, knowing that they can trust us, but also has a set up with a watch-dog-employee who readily cancels orders, the risk is minimal.

Oh but to David.... For David, if people want to haze him or hurt his business by placing orders and then claiming, on a chargeback, that he didn't deliver within the 20 or 30 days after payment, he gets that as mark against him, even if he readily consents to the chargeback and cancels the order. Stack those up, he can get card companies watchlisting his site, such that, every time a card holder, using a card from that bank, tries to order, the charge is declined on a bogus fraud watch.

My guess is, once his business is safely established and he is in a position to watchlist customers, carefully policing his orders, he will be safe to offer pre-orders with no negative consequences to the business.

Remember, his ability to get paid is what allows him to purchase film rights and all that glorious celluloid. That's not a boat I'd want to rock, and that's from a person who loves pre-orders. They're legitimately one of my favourite things.

Again, the control freak making unfounded statements with motherly advice. You act like you personally know these guys (Bill & Demon Dave). They don't even know you and to the best of my knowledge have never even acknowledged that you exist.

The issue of chargebacks for unfulfilled pre-orders is a huge issue that multiple vendors face, not just Dark Force and Code Red. Bill used to talk about the issue of people doing chargebacks quite a bit, even on the Code Red board. However, as to your issue with "motherly advice", I can only say the following: First, there's nothing wrong with being a mother. Second, having experience with a specific business issue is unrelated to being a mother or offering advice. Third, sharing that issue, using my own words, but, essentially, echoing what Bill has said about the issue of chargebacks, also has nothing whatsoever to do with being a mother or offering advice.

You don't have to "personally know" any business owner to know that they all face the same issue when it comes to chargebacks. If you get on a fraud alert list, it can tank your business.

As to the label owners on the boards knowing me, some do and some don't. These two, Bill and David, don't. I don't see how that matters. If you have a problem with what I've said, that's fine. Just call up any credit card company and ask to speak to someone about accepting credit payments and what the rules are for chargebacks and how many strikes you can have against you before transactions are no longer honored at your store. They'll transfer you right over.

And, finally, as to control, I keep telling you guys, control is an illusion. No one has it, no one can. Life happens and being able to roll with it is how you'll get through. The sooner you realize and understand all of that, the better your life will be and the more you will be able to make of yourself. And it still has nothing to do with being a mother but, actually, this one does fit squarely into the giving advice category. Hope you get over whatever is bothering you, that has you lashing out at strangers on the internet, and feel better quickly.

Can't believe you actually tried to compare Dark Force with Dorado, Dark force has released like 20 times the contact in 1000th the time, and they consistently get product released without trillions of excuses.

Il lago di Satana.... Raro took so long on that one, I nearly got snippy.

To Dark Force....

"DARK FORCE DRIVE-IN #6 featuring GATES OF HELL available in July"

That's pretty much the thing. They're putting the finishing touches on Dead Pit. Number 6 is coming in July. MM is nearing the end of the special-features-collection phase. Looking pretty good. Full post on Number 6 follows....

"Dark Force Entertainment

The biggest DARK FORCE DRIVE-IN release is coming this July! Check out the awesome menu below for the new high def double bill. The Box Office opens at 7pm and the show starts at dusk with PSYCHO FROM TEXAS, newly remastered and heavily restored color. Then the main feature it's the US theatrical version of THE GATES OF HELL for the first time ever from a rich color US 35mm uncut print with Gates of Hell main title! Our famous drive-in intermission was created by cult director Damon Packard this time and this release will be part of the Custom Collector's Series. The slipcover is incredible looking with 3D sculpted emboss and like the others GLOWS IN THE DARK!"

Am I reading this right, that HD remaster of Psycho From Texas will be an upcoming Drive-In blu?

Yeah. David talked about it at length in one of the last three live feeds. Gates of Hell and Psycho From Texas have both been scanned and given some correction, while maintaining their grindhouse feel, and they will have the original drive-in bits, like the other drive-in releases. I'm more excited to see a restored version of Gates of Hell, without all the extra sharpening, that isn't in such perfect high definition it makes the tombstones look more like painted-craft-foam than, well, tombstones. Of course they were painted-craft-foam, but, still. It will be a nice release.
